Hey hey! Welcome to the sixth part of the long lasting RP, The Missing s. For you newbies, the RP is based on animals that are believed to be extinct, but there is not enough evidence to support this. Or you can be an overly hunted animal. The Haven is an island somewhere near the south Pacific, where animals hide from human view take residence. It’s is practically impossible for humans to arrive due to the strong winds above and the very strong current around the island. Hunted Island is for residents that are not necessarily endangered, but are overly hunted by humans. You can be an animal that fit these categories, or a native animal, such as a warbler, pelican, seagull, orca, or perhaps even an outcast mongoose or dingo. New animals (who know about the sanctuary thanks to the native birds sending the message around the world), arrive via orca whales or through flying if they do. With the drought over, new animals can be welcomed.

The story now:
Several weeks had passed since we last saw Sybil and her friends. The drought that had left them almost starving to death, and almost without a home, is finally over. The orcas, who left to the Antarctica to avoid hunting their friends due to hunger, had come back to play and be of service. And with both the Haven and Hunted Islands finally returning to their former prosperity, new animals are finally being accepted. With some warblers travelling around the world to spread the news about the sanctuaries, and the orcas ready to pick any new member who can’t fly or swim there, it seems like Sybil’s original purpose is finally taking shape once more, now that besides the drought, Shadow, the treacherous, greedy Komodo Dragon that almost conquered both islands is no more, things can finally get back to normal…… However, there is a new, hidden threat at the Haven that is doing an awful harm to the island as everyone resumes their normal lives. A mysterious predator that had been consuming the warblers without leaving any remains as evidence, and at the same time has avoided detection. Nobody even knows what this predator looks like, or if it even exists at all, but for precautions, Sybil had moved the remaining warblers close to the kea’s home in order to avoid anyone from being alone, and at the same time, receive the protection of the parrots. Ever since, there haven’t been any incidents regarding any more disappearing warblers and everyone is starting to believe that everything was just a rumor, and that the warblers that are gone simply left the Haven during the drought in order to avoid it. But is it true? Is there is no such mysterious predator after all? Is it finally OK to lower the guard? Find out now…

The Haven residents…

Name: Sybil
Species: Malabar civet
Personality: The spunky soul who created the Haven. She’s very caring and bright, but can be stubborn. She can be easily stressed on a situation, but in the end she always manages to solve all problems with a little help from her friends and her own cunning.
Goal: To have everybody happy at the Haven and maintain the peace and order on the two islands

Name: Mambo
Species: Kea parrot
Personality: Leader of the keas. Extremely mischievous and playful, but his heart is in the right place. He cares deeply about his flock, and is always there for Sybil, even if he sometimes pulls mean pranks on her. He’s very mature and responsible when he needs to be. He’s almost always under the companionship by his bulky bodyguard Cole, and Cole’s naughty and uptight sister Cheryl
Goal: Help Sybil maintain order and peace… and have fun.

Name: Cairo
Species: Killer whale (orca)
Personality: This former leader of the orca whales is someone to rely on. Most of the pod still looks up to him. He is rough around the edges, but is really a giant with a heart of gold, with a huge affection for Sybil and a fondness for almost every Haven resident, especially Rose.
Goal: To be of service to the pod and the Haven residents.

Name: Yodel
Species: Warbler
Personality: Incredibly bitter, but also sly and intelligent. Unlike Sholeh, he is changing for the worst, and ever since he was discovered a thief, the punishment given to her has made him even more antagonistic, with Sybil and Crocux especially.
Goal: To make Sybil’s life as miserable as possible. This sometimes extends to the other residents, in particularly Rose, and lately, Crocux too.

Name: Sholeh
Species: Ruddy mongoose
Personality: An antagonist turned good, she is now living the Haven, with Rose’s permission. Thanks to a deal, she can feast on abandoned warbler eggs. She is less bitter than before, but she still wants to be left alone. She tries very hard to be friendly, though she can’t help humiliate her former nemesis Sybil whenever she has the chance.
Goal: To redeem herself, to fit in and forget about her villainous past.

Name: Warren
Species: Vulture
Personality: A kind and clumsy vulture who is exceedingly loyal to Sholeh, despite her mistreatment. He also acts as a flying steed for her. Unlike the mongoose, he gets along very well with Sybil and the other Haven residents, and doesn’t mean anyone harm.
Goal: To be happy and accepted the way he is.
Hunted Island residents…
Barloc: Leader of the cockatoos. He despises predators above else, and is usually mean and bitter, though he means well. He was learning to trust Rose, Sayan, and the other predators at the Haven, but now with the drought, he is more bitter and distrustful due to an event of his past.

Kali: Barloc’s wife and voice of reason. She takes most of the decisions. Unlike him, he is very trusting of everybody at the Haven and loves nothing more than to be helpful.
Whirlpool: A wombat with a huge heart and possibly the smartest, wisest and most knowledgeable residents of both islands despite his speech impediment (and a lazy eye). He lives in a tunnel that looks like a labyrinth. His love for medicine and discovery has helped the residents on more than one occasion. He is now everybody’s official doctor.

The cockatoo cousins (now teenagers):

Nia: Barloc and Kali’s daughter, and extremely mischievous. She loves danger, much to her parent’s dismay, and usually runs off to play and find adventure, always dragging Angus with her.

Angus: Nia’s cousin, and son of Barloc’s deceased brother. Although he is usually as carefree and fun as his cousin, he goes on the more cautious side. Despite his awareness, he follows his cousin everywhere, no matter if there is a chance of danger.

Now then, if you want to know some of the most recurring orcas, resort to the fourth RP, The Haven Chronicles. All you need to know is that one of them, Randy, now has a mate, an orca named Renee, whom he met in the Antarctica.

Name: Arrow
Gender: Female
Species: Jamaican Petrel
Personality: Arrow is always comparing herself to others, always trying to be the smartest, or most beautiful, or fastest, or anything like that. She isn't interested in falling in love, and she's never seen any kind of her species anyway.
Goal: To become the fastest flyer in the Haven.

Sunflame: Serval, Jaerl: Eurasian Perregrine Falcon, Royal: Harpy Eagle, AJ or Aeriji: Margay, Jaril, Bottlenose dolphin(Aided in the battles against Shadow), Ivor: Once Asian Bull Elephant, Reincarnated in Badger; Deceased, died in war with Shadow, protecting Sybil. Anvor and Bjorn: Asian Bull Elephants. Syris: Cayman Island Blue Iguana, Jhen: Orca, with a secret.

OOC: I will redo this ASAP.

Ooc: don't forget Felines you also control Ruby the warbler since you introduced her in the first place.

Terrence Jr: son of the dicesesd Terrence the king of theives used to live alone but is now raising a baby warbler he named Angel.

Angel: a baby warbler who's parents were killed by shadow when he was an egg is being raised Terrence Jr

Jack: a mistavous chimp who likes to case trouble for a little fun every now and then.

Crocux: the salt water croc is co administraitor of the haven ever since his fostor father Guardian died. He is a kind and gentle croc who is very large for his age

Shilis: a young plover and the adopted baby sister of the family. She's kind and protective and is dating Sozen

Saris: Crocux's adopted younger brother. He was believed to have been dead but with the help of his biological younger brother Syris the blue iguana he lived.

Ravage: was once a killing machine is now one of the most gentle creatures in all of haven having lost his memory

James: a warbler who treats Ravage as his best friend and trusts Ravage completly regardless of the horrible things he's done

Guardian: after dieing his spirit remains at haven forever watching over his home and will appear in the dreams of others it give advice and aide whenever he can

Marina: a bottle nosed dolphin who was saved by Crocux in the past is probably going to be living in the waters of Haven like the orcas

OOC: Good Wyrstel, but put the information vertically like StormDragon21, ShadeTheDragon and I did. Plus, you got to give a little description of each of your characters, even if it's just one word. And ShadeTheDragon, you can have Ruby if you want to

Ooc: okay although it will make for less interations that could be funny. Not to mention the fact that i have enough characters as it is.

But if you want me to have Ruby, then it's no problem. I have dealt with more than that. Now then, we wait for at least Spyroconvexity and redwes to arrive and then we can immediately begin.

Name: Kiri
Gender: Female
Species: Komodo Dragon
Personality: Determined, serious, and doesn't like distractions. She loves to eat, however, and is very picky.
Goal: At the start, find a home protected from hunters. Afterwards, once she finds out about the mysterious predator and Shadow, she wishes to discover the predator to prove that Komodo Dragons aren't all that bad.

((What do predatory animals eat without crossing any moral lines for eating a sentient creature? Also, can I get an orca to take Kiri to the island?))

Name: Sayan
Gender: Male
Species: Amur Leopard [info] [more info]
Appearance: Adult leopard [image] with some old scars resulting from prior shock collar usage; also other slightly more recent scars
Personality: He is cautious and has some minor trust issues due to his previous experiences involving humans. However, the Haven (and Sybil) has proved to be quite helpful causing him to slowly shred his solitary status over time.
He had grown to become a trustworthy individual-- willing to do anything to protect those he considers his friends and the Haven as a whole. He has even gained a mate in the form of Rose; a siberian tiger and successor to the Haven.

Goal: To keep protecting and looking after his mate, the Haven, and its residents. He would do anything for the Haven-- and especially for his mate.

History: Prior to his first stay at the Haven, Sayan was held in a zoo along with a female named Milena. They were potential mates, though the humans limited their interaction. For unknown reasons, she developed an life-threatening disease. Their caretakers tried to help her, but there was nothing they could do. They kept the two separated and Sayan was forced to watch as Milena suffered through the disease. One day the humans injected her with something and she slowly fell asleep... never to wake-up again. This is when he took his chance and escaped to the Haven. He hoped to find another of his kind, so that he may no longer be alone. However, he felt unsafe and out-of-place. Thus, he decided to leave and return to the mainland of Russia. He survived in the wild for a bit until he got captured. It was then that he was sold to a wealthy Russian as an exotic pet. He was caged, collared, mistreated, and abused in various ways. Out of pure desperation, he escaped to an orca thus returning to the the Haven for a second time.

Promising to never again leave the Haven, he had his collar painfully removed and tried to emotionally recover at what was then a secluded Creek deep within the Forest. Finding that couldn't do it alone, he later reviewed himself again and shown himself to be a great aide in the troublesome matters that occurred soon after. As a second "Hunted" island was discovered and a villainous Komodo known as Shadow presented himself, he defended the tiger known as Rose. Later, events made it necessary for him to become almost a bodyguard for a time and he grew to care for the young striped feline known as Rose. After Sybil had faked her death and Rose had become her successor for a time, he not only helped to protect a dear friend but also a new hope for the Haven's future.

As Shadow was dealt with and Sybil had 'returned from the dead', Sayan remained ever faithful to Rose and to the Haven as a whole. No longer quite as fearful as he once was, he even accepted potentially dangerous newcomers-- giving them the benefit of the doubt and attempting to help smooth their transitions. Still forever faithful to his friends, his youth had also began to return with the orcas games but the Haven was soon forced to face reality again as a drought quickly approached. Despite the shortage of food and most of the orcas being forced to retreat to the Antarctic, he and Rose soon found happiness and the two officially became mates. As the tiger's instincts come out-- he once again had to watch over Rose both for her sake and for the sake of the others.

The drought was soon to be over however and with the orcas returning once again-- the Haven was soon at peace again. (...Or was it?)

OOC: Alright Spyroconvexity. Glad to have you on board once again. Oh, and I think you need to update some of the character's information.
Right now, we have most of the main characters, so we can start now. Those new users who still wish to join are welcomed to do so at any time.

It was a lovely morning at the Haven. Everything was so peaceful. Sybil the Malabar civet was currently at the wetland, contemplating the lake from it's edge. It was much fuller now, and the pigeons returned. They are affiliated to nobody, aren't too bright, and only speak unintelligent gibberish, and were an excellent source of meat for the carnivores who got tired of fish.

Yesterday, she had a talk with Jet that they will continue with their game, but the Haven residents will have three days a week of rest and swim on the Haven waters without worrying about being captured, since the game was exhausting for both the Haven residents and the orcas. Today was one of those days, so Sybil planned to take a swim once she was done with the lake...

Sybil went near the lake to look at her reflection, and she could look for herself that, after so much time, she was very happy. Rose has become a beautiful adult tiger, worthy of replacing her when the time comes. Sayan has been the best companion for her. Her bond with Crocux was stronger than ever and Sholeh was finally giving signs of redeeming herself (or at least she tried), and what was better, the drought was finally over. What was more, there has been no news of this supposed predator ever since the warblers moved, so she was beginning to believe that there was no such thing, and that it was all paranoia as result of the drought.

Crocux the salt water croc was resting at the beach looking off into the distance to see if Marina the bottled nosed dolphin would return. He wasn't going to see her today or any time soon. Or will he. At snowy moutian Shilis the plover was busying herself by tidying up the home she shard with Sozen. Further down the mountian was a cave which was dug out by Ravage the wolverine, the bandages that Sybil put on his head were still their since his head hasn't completly healed but was getting their. For a creature with three arms Ravage held no malic towards anyone and was very gentle with his constant companion James the warbler. Back at the haven in his tree Terrence Jr was busy with taking care of Angel the baby warbler he saved as an egg not long after it's parents were killed. Angel has grown a bit and was starting to develop a little bit of fluff but hasn't spoken his first words yet.

Name: Tupic
Species: Bat
Personality: Sometimes people think of him to be stalkerish because of his ability to stay awake during the day and just spy on people from trees. But, he is as nice as he can be and would never harm anyone.
Goal: To help anybody who needs his help, it doesn't matter how big or small he is.


Name: Olaf
Species: Red Panda
Personality: Very sleepy, if he is tired enough he will fall asleep right where he stands. He is peaceful, but sometimes if you wake him he will get aggressive.
Goal: To get in as much sleep as he can (lol)

After spending several minutes at the wetland, Sybil was in the mood for a swim. The lake was too murky and dense to enjoy the water, which is why she preferred the beach. While heading there, she had to shove a few pigeons out of the way. They were that dumb.

She followed the river directly towards the beach (see map) and headed to the rock pillar to take a dip... when she saw Crocux on the main beach and decided to head for him. She has noticed that he had been gloomy lately, and she wanted to help.
"Hey big guy. Good morning." she greeted politely, looking at the beach to try to see what he was glancing at...

Tupic was at the beach. He was digging his claws into the same to keep him up right. Even thought it was said that the Orcas moved away from the Haven to keep from eating everyone near the beach out of hunger, he was still cautious, and this was the first time he was on the beach since he washed up on the shore of the Haven.

Olaf was being lazy as usual, he was in his new den chewing on more berries. He was thinking about going to the beach after he takes a long nap. While thinking about it, his eyes closed and he was knocked out.

While some were spending some time at the beach, Yodel has spent the last weeks trying to finish his new nest. The keas gave him a small branch near the ground, since no other warbler wanted him near after it was discovered he was a thief, and who knows for how long. He has taken a lot of time since he was too lazy and nobody was helping him. He wanted revenge so badly for the way he has been treated (even though he deserved it), especially towards Crocux for trying to lecture him when, according to Yodel himself, had no right to do so.

OOC: I'll actually post something in a bit, but for now I'll leave this.

((I need an orca for Kiri's arrival. Does anyone have an orca character who can take me?))

Arrow set her sights on the Haven island. It had been too long since she fled in fear for her life, and now, she was back. The wind swept through her feathers as she dived onto the island, her feet touching sand. She folded her wings and took a look around.

OOC: You can either create an orca of your own or ask somebody who owns one to take you. And excellent drawing redwes. Adding the latest one. You really are awesome
And don't worry ShadeTheDragon. It happens to everybody. Oh, and remember that I left you a post.

Elsewhere at the Haven, near Sayan's den, Sholeh was hunting. She use to spend time home with AJ, but lately, she has been getting out more, but it was more to avoid the margay than trying to socialize. She has been easily bored for the last couple of days. Even with the Haven's returning prosperity's and Warren flying her around when she needed a ride wasn't enough. She was sometimes tempted to go near the beach and have a try at the are to see why the Haven residents were so dumbly obsessed with it, but she was still too convinced that the orcas still hated her even after all that time.

ooc: believe it or not it happened as I was about to reply to your post lol. Well reply take two

Crocux noticed her and smiled "hey aunty, good morning." he then resumed looking to the horison waiting to see Marina when she arrives. But she was hesitent because she knew the local orcas greatly disliked dolphins. Something Crocux was completly unaware of. That and she wantied to surpise him.

Sybil had a slight suspicion on what could have been troubling him, but decided to engage in casual conversation first just in case she was wrong.
"You know, I kinda miss your playful side. And the orcas are finally growing fond of you. Plus, the drought is finally over. The Haven is finally being prosperous. It is a time to be happy." she said, smiling at him.

Crocux nodded "I am happy. I'm just waiting."

Rose the Syberian Tiger was on her usual sunning spot on top of hers and Sayans den. She has sense been untied as her instincts have returned to normal. "What a beautiful day to day."

"Indeed.," Sayan with a smile laying aside the tiger. He was very much at ease-- believing that maybe, just maybe, they would finally be at peace.

Sybil was a little certain now what he meant, but just to play it safe, she decided that it would be better if it was him the one to tell her whom he was waiting for and not speculate herself.
"Look, it is a resting day, but if you want to, I'll let you chase me for a little while, you know, to keep you occupied." she said, poking him. Sybil was in better shape than before, and Crocux has brown a few centimeters longer, and she was under the impression that the bigger he got, the slower he would become.

Crocux smiled "you think the bigger I get the slower I get am I right?"

"Of course.," he said with smile and little bit of a smirk. No active orcas meant plenty of time for 'other' exciting activities.

Sybil admired his great deduction, but she rolled her eyes before responding.
"Perhaps..." she answered cheekily, trying to find that playful croc she adored. Their game not only helped Sybil stay in perfect physical condition, it also helped Crocux lose the weight he for so long wanted to lose.

Olaf woke up and went to the beach. He sat down and stared at the ocean, chewing on a berrie that was still in his mouth when he fell asleep.

Crocux chuckles "well then. Let's test that." then with startling speed he spun around jaws opened and caught Sybil. He picked her up and tossed her into the water and then dived in after her.

Sybil realized she should have backed away from him more to give herself time to react, but now she realized she had to swim.
"You sneak!" she yelled to Crocux, swimming away, though she knew far too well the outcome. She couldn't swim nowhere near as fast as she could run, but at least she was happy that she managed to make Crocux feel better.

Crocux came up underneath her causing her to be on his back. He then turned around and headed for shore.

((Spyrpconvesity, can I get Jet to take Kiri to the island?))

Arrow looked around for anyone. She probably wouldn't recognize anyone if she saw them, but it was worth a try. She flapped her wings and glided along the coastline, until she saw a red panda. She didn't recognize them, but there had to be at least one person that could help her. "Hey, panda?" she called. "Red stripes guy! Know what happened to the Haven since I left?"

Sybil was a bit disappointed on how brief that was, but was glad he caught her that way for a change. She wanted to speak to Crocux about what was worrying him, but remained silent, wanting him to make the first move. She looked at the beach to get distracted and stared at a blurry shape at the distance, but dismissed it as probably a rock or another Haven resident. After all, there were many that were so scattered, she hasn't seen them in a while.

Crocux soon reached the beach and said "run."

"Why?" Sybil said, dumbfounded for a moment because of the swing earlier, but in less than a second, she understood.
"Oh, right." she immediately said, and started to run away in zig-zag as usual. The advantage that time was that Crocux wouldn't be able to hide in the forest foliage, and they were not on the water anymore, so it was all a matter of who got tired first, or if Sybil underestimated Crocux only for his growing size.

Crocux took after her going in a strait line rather then fallow her zig zag pattern. Little did she know that after losing weight he gained muscle mass and was faster then ever but he held back wanting to draw it out.

Sybil realized, after momentarily seeing Crocux at her side and not behind her, that her zig-zag pattern wasn't working anymore, and that she had to use another strategy. She wasn't sure whether she was managing to outrun him or if he was simply lingering the play, but Sybil had an idea; sometimes Crocux didn't play fair, so she was going to do the same on that occasion. She climbed a palm tree before he could capture her, and started mocking him.
"Hah. Can't catch me this time." she said, sticking her tongue out in a playful matter.

Crocux smiled and rammed the tree.

But Sybil of course, knew that he was going to try this, so she was using her claws and even her tail to hold on.
"Hah! Sorry Crocux, not this time!" she said with a wink, thinking that just maybe, she had finally beat him, even if it was through a bit of cheating. From above, she could see that Crocux was in fact skinnier than before, and with much more muscle. It was more noticeable from above than from the side, and she felt so proud that she had been able to help give him that splendid vitality.

Crocux smirked "i'm just getting started missy." and he rams it again even harder this time.

"Woh!" Sybil exclaimed, almost losing her grip, but she managed to hold on.
"Nice try, bit I'm staying here." she said mockingly, though noticing that the palm tree was bent. Has Crocux got strong enough to take down a palm tree? That was quite the feat. It seemed like no matter how hard he tried, Sybil wasn't going to be able to beat Crocux. She continued holding on, praying for the palm tree to be strong enough, though one way or another, she will have to come down from there anyway...

Olaf answered, "I don't know, I just slept the whole time."

As Sybil wondered if Crocux would go as far as to take down a tree just to get to her. Little did she or Crocus knew that almost a mile away to the shore of her left, she may receive a new guest after so long of not receiving anyone...

Kiri gripped the orca's skin with her claws. "Can you tell me where we're going?" she mumbled. "I'm getting a bit seasick...."

"Huh. Lazypants." Arrow landed on a tree just above the red panda. "Know where anyone else lives?"

Crocux then went around to the other side and rammed the tree again staitinig it out.
