Is there a way to find nearby skylander players? [CLOSED]

I do not want to expose myself to the people of craigslist... the things that were sent, and the creepers I had email me for something as innocuous as trying to find someone to play tennis was traumatizing (only partially kidding) but it would be cool as I have played ONLY pve skylanders to have someone to try some pvp with.

I think it would add some new fun to the game.

I am near Ft Worth, Tx

IDK if anyone has tried something like this before, but would be cool to see how it goes.

Ideally it would be nice even fill out the other person's in game collection because I assume most people do not buy EVERY figure. So maybe someone has a couple I didn't ever get, and I have a couple they didn't.

The problem with meeting other Skylander players is that there is such a massive age range – while I’d love to try pitting my collection against other collections in VS mode, I’d feel pretty uncomfortable actually meeting most people from this forum.
If there ever was going to be a Skylanders meet-up in my area, I’d want to insist on an age limit of 20+ just so there are no accusations or appearances of creeping.

yeah, that is actually kind of funny. I hadn't really thought about accidentally meeting up with a kid or anything like that. The game is primarily played by my 7 yr old, and I really hadn't seen any compelling pvp on any youtube video either, but just thought it might be something to do.

You can always try making a group on MeetUp (if there isn't already one). But I don't know how much success you'd have. I really do wish there was online multiplayer.
