Ever have a character go to back to level 0 (Wii U)? [CLOSED]

Was playing as Wash/Drilla on Wii U in the Arena selection menu and the game hiccuped back to the Portal (character selection) and showed Wash/Drilla again. After that I had 0 XP and 0 coins. Grilla Drilla is fine (still at the same level and coin) but Wash Buckler was all 0. He still had his hat though.

At that moment the wiimote also somehow got disabled and switched over to game pad.

It's just a minor annoyance to have to re-build Wash Buckler up.

I've not had this happen before. Though, for most of the time I've played I've only used the game pad, so it wouldn't shift controllers.

I didn't intentionally switch controllers. It just decided to do all this for me. I didn't even know how to switch back to the Wiimote after it did it.

That happened to be back when I played Spyro's Adventures and Giants, but not in Swap Force.

Actually, a few people have reported characters resetting in SF.

I've noticed recently after a play session my Portal feels kind of... warm. Maybe something in the Portal overheats which causes it to wipe data accidentally, or maybe the heat from it actually damages the character tag(though I seriously doubt the latter, I'm not even sure if that kind of heat could damage an RFID tag that's under some plastic, and if it did I think it would have worse consequences than just resetting the toy- and I think an overheating Portal would have worse consequences too- just making some guesses here, it's the only thing I've really discovered since this was last bought up).

I'm playing the 360 version, though.

This should be happening on all platforms and it is not tho. Unless you mean that the Portal might be overheating on the Wii U. That would be a different way of saying it.

I've heard reports of this on other platforms (but can't find the topics) so I know this is not a Wii U exclusive bug

Yeah actually the Ninja Stealth Elf my sister was using lost all the upgrades and her level went down. I'm on a Wii U as well.

I had this happen to me, I was playing PvP, Ninjini vs Star Strike. Ninjini was fine, but Star Strike got reset. It was also on the WiiU.

So far we can conclude that 1 person is saying it's happening on other platforms, while everyone else is reporting it's on the Wii U.

I meant that I wouldn't have a controller to switch to.
