So I pre-ordered on 7/19/2013 from local Best Buy. Did this for 2 reasons, I have a premium silver rewards account and cause I have rewards certificates to help bring the cost of the starter box down.

Sunday I go to get my pre-order and I get a look of confusion from the person at the register, then the same look from customer service. They look at they can't find my pre-order (or any pre-order).

Then let me konw they don't know about any pre-order even though I have the receipt. We all go over to the game section where the employee has no idea about the pre-orders or that you get a free LC Hex as the pre-order bonus.

They go back into the warehouse section for about 25 minutes, I can see other members of the staff heading back to there to help look for the pre-orders.

The manager comes back and ask's about the pre-order and I walk her over to the pre-order cards that they still had on the shelves showing the free LC Hex deal.

She takes that card back and looks in the warehouse for another 35 minutes.

See eventually comes back, apologizes saying they don't have my pre-order nor do they have any of the LC Hex's. She askes if I would like another figure to make up for it. I tell her no, you can only get LC Hex if you pre-ordered swap force....which I did months ago. I also told her that the only reason I got it from Best Buy is cause of my Premium Rewards Zone status. Otherwise I would've went to walmart that is open 24 hours and got it at Midnight.

So informs me that all she can do is take my name and number and they will try and locate one for me and if that's ok. I said to her, well...I guess it's going to have to be fine and what else can I do. She then offers to discount the game for me and if that is ok.

She discounts the game down by a little more than half....so I actually only paid $30 for swap force....but no LC Hex.

TLDR version: Pre-ordered the game in July, Best But didn't have my pre-order, Didn't get LC Hex....got the game for $30.

You can buy LC Hex at some places and as soon as all the pre-ordering is all done you can buy one most likely anywhere. I bet there will be tons on ebay soon and be fairly cheap since most people will have one already.

And to be on topic, I Called my toys r us to make sure they had LC Hex before I preordered from them. (I cancelled my preorder at wal mart) I went to toys r us to preorder Swap force the day before it came out Since I was already there to get my Pokémon X and Y games. They said they had tons and that I'd be sure to get one. Went on release day and got my starter with hex for around 45 bucks.

Well, not going to be hitting ebay for anything. Its more of the point that Best Buy royally screwed up and now they need to fix the issue. I complained on Facebook and Twitter while I was waiting. Now dealing with Best Buy Corporate who are looking into the issue.

Honestly...I'm happy with getting SF for $30, anything extra is a bonus.

I had a bad experience with the LC Hex too, at EBgames Canada. Turns out they were only sent enough for one per order...even thought I ordered several starters (2 Dark, 1 Super, 1 3DS). They got an email from head office in the morning stating it was only enough for one per order. Yet they had plenty on the shelf to sell!? I'm still QUITE annoyed by this as there are several collectors in my family, and we all wanted one. I could've ordered from several different stores had I known this rule ahead of time.

Between this debacle, and the Super Bundle not containing Riptide (at least at E as its illustrated....the day was a bit sour. Walmart and Target charging the wrong prices for the exclusive didn't help, even though finally it got sorted.

I've been active on Twitter complaining. Seems to be helping with my issue I would suggest doing something similar. Companies don't like being shamed in a public forum, local manager might not be able to do anything......but you might get something from corporate.

i aint pre ordering it (cant anymore) just for Lc hex besides when i picked up swap force they had like 10 lc hex out for sale

The gamestop I ordered mine from couldn't find the lightcore Hex's to hand out but they promised to hold onto one for me once they find them or arrive. I had actually left the store when I realized that I didn't receive a Hex. I ended up picking up an extra one at Target as they were selling them outright.
