We all know how rare S1 Wham Shell is, so he'll probably be it too.

I don't know how but July this year, my mum emerged with a series 1 wham shell for my brothers birthday! I had asked her for one for Christmas, nothing but for his birthday! She must have been lucky to have found one.

Nope. General rule of thumb in most cases is that Skylanders people expect to be rare just get average stock.
I think that they learned with Wham-Shell. Even Giants' final releases were less limited than that guy. I only ever saw a few in-store Wham-Shell.

I'm going to throw a random, probably totally wrong guess, that S2 Hot Dog will end up rare by the time the game's releases are getting completed. He was a popular character in Giants, so many people bought him already by now and may not want him again, yet real Hot Dog fans will have to have him, cleaning parts of the stock up, and he's a repose and those were the ones that became rare in Giants, and somehow I just have a hunch. But again, when you expect something regarding the stock, prepare for disappointment, because it's probably going to end up wrong.

The first wave of Giants lightcores were common even up to a few months ago. Later waves seem to have been GREATLY tempered.

If they learned anything from last year, they will fill the shelves with LC wham

^But they've also changed their tune since...dunno. I do think they'll stock plenty though...but I don't think we'll be seeing them on the shelves 6 months later like Prism Break and Eruptor.

I agree, Flashwing was an incredibly poor choice for a Lightcore, I get the feeling that they chose her because she would fit the idea better and Prism Break was already done (and they knew they couldn't get away with a reposed Lightcore of a Lightcore). The only reason Jade was a hit was because she was a variant and had a better color scheme.

I doubt Wham Shell will be hard to find, unless he is a very late release (wave 4 or 5). Those are naturally smaller since they are late in the game. I think we are going to see more adjustments to stocking this year, they learned last year and killed the scalpers prior to Wave 3. They are getting better at it with each new game.

I mostly see LC Jet-Vac, Shroomboom and Drobot these days - Eruptor and Prism break every so often, and Pop Fizz and Chill not at all since their initial releases.

But the odds of finding a specific Lightcore, much like a Giant, is greatly increased since a certain amount of display room must be given to promote these few non-standard figures. And there's still only 8 regular Lightcore figures, so I imagine we'll see them a fair bit.

Plus again, Wham-Shell, Warnado and Camo were left out of the last game, so I imagine Activision will up their production a bit to give new gamers a chance to grab 'em without resorting to eBay.

Nah he'll be everywhere...I just wish he had a series 2 for the Wow Pow but I well I'm still going to get Shell Head.

^ No he doesn't. I'm pretty sure that they've changed the way he's swinging his mace slightly but there are no powers showcased in that video which he didn't have in the last two games.

Edit: I managed to freeze-frame it at just the right time and ended up getting this really cool looking shot that makes a nice wallpaper.

I think Turbo jet vac will be really rare, since everyone has him, most of us don't like him, and from what I've seen his figure looks bad

Also guys, his wow pow is his super saiyan looking spikes he never had those before And I own wham shell fully maxed on upgrades, also his mace was gold but now is silver (I'm guessing that's part of the light core feature though)

Well, at least his LightCore version will be even cooler and stronger than his cruddy original figure?

The mace looks the same as it did in SA/Giants, IIRC. Last time I used him in SA 360, and it had that exact design.

In all seriousness, he looks like he gets a mace upgrade, in the Video you can see him holding his mace out while it spins, I think that's new, plus with this aesthetic update to him, he looks way better

but hís looks look nice to me

yeah i do, but in some they didnt, besides, dont you think his looks look wierd?

I'm excited for LC Wham Shell since I missed him before. I remember seeing him at TRU around Christmas last year, but I didn't realize how rare he was and we were just starting Giants and I didn't realize he would play on the game...
I don't think they would make him rare since the eBay market doesn't really help Activision/VV, but I could be wrong.
I always thought Flashwing should have been a lightcore with the color scheme. That said we found a Jade and I'm not looking to duplicate what we already have.

I doubt that's a visual update to his carapace plating, carapace plating looks cool and that... looks scary, I hope my whamshell doesn't look like that now o.o

I noticed in the video that it says he only works in Swap Force; is this going to be the case, or will it be like with the Giants lightcores where they said that but actually, characters who were in the original worked in the original and they're trying to avoid confusion?

The site has a lot of goof ups, but this time around it is saying the only non backwards working Skylander is Lightcore Wham-Shell, so take that as you will. If he works in SA then yeah, I plan to get him all the Heroics and Quests from SG.

Because I don't want the feeling that I spent $18 to get a non-LC and a Castle Case. That would be a waste of $18.

You has no clue he would come back so it's not really a waste. Plus think of the kids that started with Swap Force, or Giants. They couldn't have gotten him so yeah...

I'd bet that Warnado, Wham-shell and Camo will all be pretty easy to find - the whole reason in bringing them back is to help folk that missed them first time.
