What are avatars?

Avatars are 100x100 sized picture users use tor represent themselves here on DarkSpyro or any websites. On DarkSpyro they must be 30 kilobytes or less.

Types of Avatars:

Avatars can be both digitally drawn or edited with softwares such as Photoshop, GIMP, and etc.

Examples of the types of avatars

Hand Drawn and Resized Avatars:

Avatars can also be hand drawn and then resized to avatar using photo editing softwares.

Photo edited Avatars:

These kinds of avatars are made with photo editing softwares and are not drawn by the user but is made with existing arts and pictures found on the internet.

Digital Art Avatars:

These avatars are 100% drawn by users using photo editing softwares.

Guide to Getting Started on Making Your Own Avatar Thread:

To get started, go to the Fan Art forum and create a thread. For a title, you can make a creative one or just name it Username's Avatar. Also to give people a good idea of what your avatar's like, you should make an example before creating your thread.

Guide To Maintaining An Avatar Thread

Always try to finish a request as soon as possible, and also make good quality avatars, not rushed one. Make sure the avatars you make are 100x100 or less, you can make them smaller, but as long as it 100x100 or smaller will be usable Also make sure that the size of the avatar does not exceed 30 kb. Regularly update your thread with new avatars will help get other users to like your work and know about it. A great way to organize your avatars is to sort it by different types, this will help other users find the avatar they want faster and easier.

What is True Art?
Many of the users here decided to edit photos and call them "art", but that's not what it really is. Art incorporates one's creativity through drawings both hand drawn or digitally drawn. Photos that are taken from the internet and edited is graphic thief. Many users here do that and do not give credit to the creator of the picture.

One thing you should always do when you are making edited avatars
Always remember to give credit to the original artist by putting a note (In bold if you can) that says that you give credit, since you do not own the art and it was created by another artist.

What drawing system is reccomended? I would like it to be a free one, for I dont have internet money.

There are some free ones that are very good, I suggest GIMP.

Paint.net might work. It's not as big as gimp.

Yep, that's pretty much your only choice if your computer can't download GIMP.

Then I guess it's just because of your computer. I guess your only choice is paint.net, it has a small file size, so your computer probably wont crash.

I'm not going to worry about it now, my computer is dead and all. It's not messed up, it's is legit dead.
