I have the 360 version and i can't do save the purple chompies with any skylanders except these ones
Trigger happy
Legendary trigger happy
Gill grunt
Stealth elf
Dark spyro
Spyro
Chop chop

How can I have any skylander finish save the purple chompies?

I've done that challenge with all of my skylanders except wham-shell because I don't have him. Just be patient and keep trying until you get it.

learn where the purple chompies are and stay away from those places

thanks sadly i tried lots of times and i know where they are but it doesnt work thanks for trying though

can you tell us more? like which skylanders are you using? because with memory the challenge should be easy. i did it with a fully upgraded ghost roaster

Eruptor
Flameslinger
Ghost roaster
Hex
Cynder
Stump smash
Double trouble
Wrecking ball

it's just a hard challenge. dont used any long ranged attacks, explosive attacks, or attacks that bounce off walls,and go through the challenge repeatedly so you know where the purple chompies and green chompies are. you have enough time in the challenge to literally, stop, and aim instead of running and gunning.

Drobot> reset him
Drill seargent> if purples are attacking you, use the charge and run away
Sonic boom> kinda hard. try to never go near the purple. and DON'T USE THE BABIES
Whirlwind> same as sonic
Eruptor> don't have him
Flameslinger> don't use the flame trail
Ghost roaster> reset him then skull charge all the time without looking back
Hex> if you are on shade master reset her
Cynder> don't have her
Stump smash> if you have trouble while smashing, try to use the mini acorns
Double trouble> never use the clones and the bombs. try to attack only when you have greens around you
Wrecking ball> meh wrecking ball. well use only the tongue attack while facing only greens

My 5 year old kid showed me this trick...(I couldn't believe how clever he was).

Run past all of the first chompies. Wait till you are surrounded by only green chompies and kill them all. then run some more. If you have purple anywhere close by, run past them until they are mostly green only. Keep doing this until you finish the challenge. Before I tried this new technique, I could only get 40 chompies or so. I only tried once (was on my way out the door to work) but I was able to get 80+ using my kids technique. The only ones you may have trouble with are the Skylanders that have bonus thingys floating around. (Cynder, Camo, others.) You may have to reset them.

thanks guys sadly, i'm not willing to reset anyone and i tried the other tips, its not working

I've tried doing the named challenge with Drobot FULLY UPGRADED down the LAZOOOOORSSS path, big mistake. Took out 12 Greens then a Purple then 5 Greens then a Purple so I got 17 Greens then failed!

I actually find the Purple Chompies challenge to be easy, I mean, sometimes it's frustratingly difficult yeah but there's a good trick to it, if you have most of the Skylanders that give Speed Challenges and beef up your current in-training Skylander in Speed and strap on the..I believe it's the Lil Devil Hat? It gives you +9 Speed. You can outspeed the purple Chompies, and they'll waddle off and leave you alone, letting you go back and pick off any green ones you missed. It's really about patience than speed on this one. I hope that helps. I normally send new Skylanders through all the Heroic challenges before upgrading them, and save Purple Chompies for last. xD

I used chop chop. Why? Because if you use his shield attack, not going through the path for it, you can easily get the green ones. I you just hold the button for the shied and press the primary attack button, he will bump he shield which takes out like one or to at a time.

I don't see why people have issues with that level. It's wayyyyyy too easy, and I am using max upgraded Skylanders.

Actually that's not what it says. It says Requires 1 skylanders to complete ALL 32 Heroic challenges

Deandria is talking about maxing each char, not the accolade.

I managed to beat the challenge with Cynder when I was at my friend's house last night. I just used her lightning and was really careful where I aimed it. I didn't use the dash at all and she didn't have her Soul Gem ability yet (held off buying it till I completed this challenge). Hope that helps for any Cynder users here.

(Also, if any Chompy latches onto your character leave it there because shaking it off will count as killing it.)

Thanks for the technique - are there more than enough Chompies to be able to do this, then? I was concerned that you had to kill pretty much all of the Chompies already on-screen and they didn't give room to leave many.

Ok sorry deandria I didn't know what you were talking abou the accolade.

Play on the Wii version if you can. You have to kill roughly half as many chompies, and it's easy with any character regardless of path or upgrades. On PS360, it's just a matter of practice making perfect. It's a lot harder to kill 100 of these things than it is to off 50-ish, and any mistake could prove fatal. However, it is definitely possible on all versions, and I've never reset a character to complete this challenge. It might be tough, but it never ceases to be doable.
