For those of you that have purchased two of every Skylander because you wanted one for each upgrade path, do you have any regrets considering that all 32 figures will be released in a new pose with the Giants game? Just curious. That's a lot of bank to fork over for one of every figure, let alone two.

Reposes, I will only buy 1 of each to hang on my wall. Who gives a **** if they go past 10? I will at least have 16 Skylanders that can go past 10, if they play that card. Reposes = wall decor.

I will buy 3 of the 16 new ones, however. Well, I take it back. I only will, if Acti pulls their heads out of their *****, and make it easier for customers to get the figures (ie preorderable like they are in the UK, CA, and AU), or if they stop playing head games with the loyal customers, by making the final Skylander harder to obtain (which I knew they would).

You don't count. You have 5 of every figure. Maybe 6 if you include singles and triples still in the box.

And I already knew that you had no regrets.

the only character that I have a duplicate of is L. Trigger Happy because I wanted to keep one in the box (I know, I'm pathetic) but I'm not going to purchase any more duplicates unless it's a really rare figure. So far I don't care for the reposed ones that much but I might purchase some but definitely not all of them.

Opal, I'm still looking out here for them. So far there is no sign of them. But that'll change soon. TRU got a lot of wave 3 stuff, and that was it. The shelves are still stocked with LR, Zook,Cyn 3 packs and all the other ones too. No adventure packs. No Legendary 3 packs yet either. Seems that maybe there won't be a special event for easter. Has anyone seen the advertisement for Easter weekend for TRU?

Three of every figure. My kids' collections don't count.

Another reason I don't regret it, is think of this. When the reposes come, and let's say there are ones for every original Skylander, what does that make the original Skylanders? Possibly more obscure. Key word, "possibly."

It's like this. Consider the reposes a running change. When Transformers Animated had released a TRU exclusive character called, "Arcee," it had glossy pink molding. There was a running change, where the glossy pink mold, was replaced by a matte pink mold. The original probably goes for more, as it did when people discovered the running change.

Original Skylander molds will cease to exist, replaced by potentially future-proof (ie any future sequel upgrades will be compatible with them), reposed molds.

Just a theory, though. Who knows.

I don't see collectibles currently hitting the demand that everyone thinks they will. I mean it's a run in the millions on these things. So how can they be worth much more than face value even 20 years from now. If you haven't seen the show Comic Book Men starring Kevin Smith and his friends. I'd suggest you watch it. It's a great view into the world of collecting...toys and comics. It's funny and I think all the older people in here would enjoy it. Just google it. I think it aired on AMC or one of those channels. Season 1 just ended, but even old old collectibles don't fetch giant numbers in value unless you're talking things that are uber rare and still popular. A good example is Adam West Batman and things that are obscure. The only way Skylanders gets this sort of popularity ever is if it has about 10-15 successful games in the series. How much does it cost to go buy an original copy of Spyro? Probably not TOO much. These are collectible for those that like the toys. Never buy these because you think you'll make a big buck on them 10 years from now. You won't and you'll sell the entire set for 50 bucks at a garage sale in 2018...if the zombie apocalypse hasn't happened by then.

No regrets at all. Our second set is boxed, we just played them through the packaging. Besides, the rumor that the old figures won't level past 10 in the next game is very, VERY shaky conjecture without a single credible source behind it and no other means of substantiating a word of it besides trust that Activision wants to kill their new, profitable franchise for some unexplainable reason.

Who says the new poses will even look better to begin with? New Zook looks stupid, Cynder is at best only slightly better, and Light Force Prism Break is the exact same thing.

With the new factories online they are pumping out lots of these. Probably on misprints and toy shows one will have much value in a few years. This is tech we are talking about here and it does not last long on value. When the company makes a big change nobody will want the old stuff anymore. In five years you may not even be able to use them in a game anymore.

Two more good examples are storage wars and the pawn star shows. I am amazed still at people have hung on to stufff and hope to get the big bucks, but get told nobody can use it, so we can not buy it.

Yes I have fallen into this trap many times over many years.

But the main thing is if you like it (I do) the do what you enjoy and makes you happy.

Skylanders are not exclusively technology, though. Obviously there is a difference between an old camera and a Skylander figure, for example.

I only have two Cynders (one currently...) because i bought one single and have been using it...but I just bought the LROD triple with Cynder...so i'll have two of her.

I used to have two stealth elves but I gave one to my GF because I have no use for two of the same figure...plus the second one was from the 3DS starter pack.

I will NOT be buying any reposes unless Spyro doesn't come in the starter kit. He's the only repose i'd buy...I could give two craps about the opposite path.

I regret it. This stuff will never be valuable than now. Im def not decorating my room with them either. So for me I regret getting caught up.

I've only purchased two of certain chars (not all of them) since all of mine that I've bought in the packaging has stayed in the packaging.
I regret nothing though.

I still plan to buy all the reposes too, just becasue I can lol.

I will probably never own two of the same character. Never ...........Probably be luckyky to own more than the ones I already have. xD But what's this upgrade path thingy? I just started playing the game like.....a few hours ago. Also noticed some of the areas were like "Oh no, you must have an ____ kind of Skylander to go through here and get the speshal items!" and I was like are you kidding me? I hope later on it doesn't start asking me to have specific ones just to do stuff.

I have doubles of Camo, Warnado, Cynder, and Whirlwind. My favorites :] but as of right now I plan to get one of the reposes unless they play really well or I see it in a store. Then I will get two

I only have a duplicate of Drill Sergeant because I accidentally bid on one too many when they were an exclusive on eBay. But he's one of my favourites so I can live with that.

I can't see the point of buying the reposes; even if they look "better", with the quality of the figures that have been pushed out as of late, they won't look as good to me.

I have a duplicate Stealth elf and Chop Chop. I have no idea what I am going to do with them, I got them in triple packs with ones I needed. Although I will more than like buy the reposes as I am a sucker for this stuff.

the dupes i have are from wanting the other path, or a 3 pack that had who i was looking for, so im probably only going to buy my favorites (drobot, camo, cynder, etc, maybe a few more). but i like them. when ive collected other toys, ive always thought its best to have 2 of them, incase one breaks. in my older years, i think its best to have 3, 1 to play with, 1 to display, 1 to keep in box. totally not doing that with skylanders, 1 of each, then a dupe for another path if i like it. or with reposes really cool looking
