i just read that 5th april is the new unverified date of arrival for wave3, before that there was march. the momentum of skylanders is gone in norway, the stores been empty for months, if one store have some few skylanders, its put into a corner of the store with other crap where no one are looking. skylanders is like yesterday news and forgotten... why couldn't activision just stick to 8 figurines, 4 adventure packs and the legendaries. we would have been finished with this now. they could had focused more on giants and improved it with online features and be something everyone looked forward to. but now i bet giants will arrive after the xmas here is norway(if it arrive at all), and it's impact will be a like a little peep on the radar when no one is looking. if someone from norway want to collect skylanders giants, they will be forced to use evilbay, to get the 48 new ones. the stores don't give a rat ass, that is what it will come to. because of this idiotic milking activision are doing... like make more figurines than needed and make sure its impossible to ship it around the world. because they don't want to hire more chinese factories and workers, if they do their milking will not bring in the money, since they gotta use more than they will earn.. now i just wish they would make a proper spyro game without all this crap. think how easy it would have been you buy the game your finished with that buy, if you want a bit more later you buy the dlc. with co-op online/battle modes etc you would have played it for years to come.... but no instead you get a game with 8 hours gameplay, and a huge figurines collection that you can not complete... that is ****ed up, totally.......

I think there are fans, but no new content. Who wants to replay the same levels again and again? Hopefully a lot more SP/Co-op levels with giants.

Actually, I heard Giants is a shorter game. In my eyes, it will be easier, since Skylanders can keep their levels. The way to defeat that notion, is to raise the level cap on Skylanders, and raise the difficulty beginning with the first level. Another alternative would be to have a difficulty selector, so those of us using level 10's have a rough time going through the levels.

GM,
I am scared it will be a shorter/easier game. Where have you heard this? I would like more added to the game than new figures and giant size characters. Even if it just has a challenging and rewarding storymode I will be okay. i don't need much but I need something. The rumor that the remodels with the new orange bases not being playable in the original game seems to support the notion that additional dynamics in gameplay occuring in the sequel may inhibit the possibility of backwards compatibility. Upping the level maximum for figures with orange bases could explain why they would not play on the original version of the game. However, this is just theory and I am not very hopeful. In addition there would be no way to increase the levels of any existing figures as they are already programmed to max at level 10 making someones existing figures less valuable to gameplay than the remodeled versions. |

In an interview, one of the creators mentioned 20 new levels. First game had 22 chapters, plus 4 chapters from adventure packs.

Its horrible when they last 2-3 mimutes and u never even come close to dying. Its not even a challenge for 6 year olds. If they rush this game just to cash in then I probably wont get involved. From a collectors standpoint the 1st edition originals are always the best to collect of anythibg anyways. Ill be just fine not supporting the crap they put out if its rushed, easy and just a cheap way to cash in on their success.

Maybe the levels in Giants will be longer?
But I know what you mean, Kappa - especially when people in the US get all of the information they do about releases, and we seem to see delay after delay after delay in Europe, it's very difficult to keep interested. |
