Why is everybody battling it out to have a Cynder? Is she seriously that rare? In another post I stated my wal-mart had 5 cynders. Some people are litterally "battling" people and some kid bullied a 12 year old. How low can some people get? Can somebody please tell me why Cynder is like a shiny pokemon?

Before Cynder was released, some people in this forum were losing their flipping minds wanting her to be released. When it happened, it just went to another level. I don't understand the reasoning, though. But I'm an old man compared to most around here.

Not really rare in the Gold/Silver sense, but uncommon. Since she was revealed, she's been the fan favorite from all the buzz I've seen generated, which is mostly riding from TLoS. (remember all those people claiming Skylanders "ruined" Spyro, but did a 180 when they revealed Cynder was a playable character?)

She's actually pretty powerful in game, and one of the more powerful Undead Characters, but I think most of the "want" for her is coming from fans of TLoS.

Of the 3 in Wave 3, Cynder is the odd man out. Dub Trub has a single AND Triple Pack release, along with Slam Bam who's in his own expansion. Some of the commotion of her will probably simmer down once the 3 pack is released.

I see what you are saying. But still we need to find out why some people are brawling it out for a Cynder. It is like the Street Fighter games. Instead of fighting to be the world warrior its battling 12 people to win a Cynder figure.

Most people are biased with her because she was "wonderful" in LoS (I still don't see it but whatever) or because they just want past game references. And because she's a dragon.

She is hard to find in a lot of locations, and she has a fan base that carried over from the other games. Scalpers have also contributed to this. They stalk the stores and buy up all the stock as soon the stores get them, which causes frustration for those that don't want to pay double or more for her through eBay. After a few weeks of constantly missing her due to others snatching her up, people can get so frustrated they forget their manners. Nonetheless, I don't agree with it. No one should fight over these figures, especially physically and especially when there are children involved/around. As far as I see it, Cynder is a regular figure, not a exclusive or anything, so she will eventually come back in stock. You just have to have patience.

I'd love to find her just to have her in my collection, though I've had no luck finding her so far...

she's no drobot, but she's pretty close to broken. that shadow step ability allows you to completely dodge most damage, even if it's hard to control. not to mention it damages enemies you fly under.
her lightning breath is a cone of damage blowtorch that ticks for 18, and the range is huge

Cynder's attack with the shadow creates ghost to attack their enemies. The shadow attack is also unlimited. So the ghost will keep coming. Right? The, without warning, the ghost goes BOOM, and beats their enemy!

Though I have played other Spyro games in the past I never played TLoS so my interest in Cynder isn't nostalgia... I just love dragons, I love purple, I think she looks nice and I don't have an undead Skylander yet.

I am looking forward to finding her now that wave 3 has crept into the UK.

I got Cynder because I want all the dragons.

I kid you not, there are tons of Cyntards/Cynderps out there who did a COMPLETE turn around when they saw her become a playable character in the game. Most of these fans of Skylanders, I bet, only came for Cynder or Spyro. Of course, knowing the Spyro fandom, it's Cynder.

I'm a Spyro fan, I only liked Cynder in TLoS: ANB, after that, she became some kind of "Mary-Sue". It bugged the crap out of me to the point where I made up my own version of her myself.

The only thing you can do to find Cynder is pure luck, like I had when I found her.

I haven't experianced any of those scalper problems, yet, but when I do, I'll make sure to tell a worker in the store, and if my mother is with me, she won't be afraid to tell them off.
