I know this is a topic that has been touched upon in the past, so please bear with me.
I've got a load of Skylanders who are "maxed out" in terms of Levels and skills, and from what I know, a lot of people recommend against having fully-levelled/upgraded Skylanders to do Heroic Challenges with since it makes them difficult/impossible/et cetera.
My first question is, do you think it would be prudent to reset my Skylanders, do the Heroic Challenges, then train them for upgrades and so on? Or is it just a case that there's a few I would have to persevere with and I would be able to beat the Challenges eventually?
There are obviously challenges where I would end up getting experience and levelling up anyway. If I did reset, does anyone have a recommendation of the order in which to do the Challenges?
This post brought to you by the fact that I finally got my Empire of Ice and I should probably start playing this game again.

Well there are only a few challenges I have that are tough for a certain few Skylanders - ie Ghost Roaster and the Purple Chompies and a couple of my fully upgraded characters had a hard time on the Cats, but thats because they turn things into something else when they kill them - ie Ghost Roaster and his Ghosts, Prism Break and prisms other than that I don't think its worth it to reset your Skylanders.
I just spent all of Sunday catching mine up on their heroric challenges and I only have around 17 Skylanders. If you did choose, do all the speed ones you can first. Then work on the others.

It takes patience--a lot, in some cases--to do every challenge with fully upgraded characters, but it is very doable. I found myself in the same predicament you are currently facing, and I chose not to reset. Even with the worst of the (BOOMER!!) it took less time than resetting and releveling them to endure a couple of retries on tough challenges. You should be okay, if you're patient.

The purple chompies is next to impossible with anything that has an area of effect. Whirlwinds double rainbows, anything with boomer, maxed out Double Trouble just to name a few skylanders with issues on that challenge. I usually give that one a once or twice try then move on.

The only challenge that i had problems with, Wii version, was the painting/vase one. Having the radius of your hits be larger makes it more difficult. I havent given up, so you shouldnt either.
