Has anyone played the Coldburn level and tried to meet the "Avoid the slicers" objective?

It seems to be impossible. The ice physics are so broken in this game, you will go flying into the slicers again and again without being able to do anything about it. I tried this objective so many times my 3DS actually CRASHED. There isn't any Skylander that seems to have any advantage in the situation whatsoever. Fast characters just careen around the ice with the slightest movement until something, anything pushes them into a slicer (or off a cliff, which always respawns you right in the path of a slicer). Slow characters don't get tossed around as much, but they provide a much bigger target for the slicers and they're too slow to gather up the Radiance you need anyway.

Is there some trick to it??

^ I'll give it a try once I get my 3DS back from Nintendo, it should be back by tomorrow. In the meantime, good luck! Keep on tryng and you'll beat it.

...I totally didn't think about the 3DS version. The level I had most grief with in the main game was the avoiding the cactuses objective on the ice field (forgot the name), so I can't say I'll be anticipating this!

I don't know if the moves are the same in the 3DS version, but any character that has a rushing attack (Spyro's horn charge, not upgraded; Ghost Roaster's..uh..skull thingie) you can charge in any direction you want. You'll keep going, but just charge again and you'll go that way much faster.

I'd imagine it's the same principle on the console games where you have to move around an ice maze to grab things.

I just added the three expansion levels to my 3DS last night... I will have to get after this and come back with results.

I found when I scanned my expansion packs, that it didn't save them until I actually played them. Yaggleberry, unless you played them before switching off, could you let me know if you experienced the same?

Tip: You have to load out of the sanctuary in order for the game to save.

I finally got my repaired 3DS back from Nintendo. I sent it in for a microphone repair but they actually sent me back a whole new 3DS. I'm trying the challenge right now and Wow, it's hard! I haven't been able to beat it yet. Sticking to the center spinning blade and running against it while hopping over the oncoming blades seems to be the only stradagy I have now. Also there's an area of ice on the edge between two of the singular spinning blades where the blades can't reach you. I like to head to that spot when there're a lot of enemies because it's a good place to stand and take them out. I'm using Whirlwind because she can shoot rainbows quickly and thunder clouds that deal a great amount of damage. Ranged attacks help a lot for this challenge.

This stage is driving me nuts!!!! All I have left is to avoid the slicers....always get hit. If you fall off the edge they will spawn you by a slicer, so frustrating!!!
Am finding Sonic boom to work good. Still can not do it tho.
Anyone else do it?
Tips???

Would any of the Adventure pack items be of any use? I've never used any of them before. Just an idea. Also, while it overall didn't help out much in the level, Double Trouble doesn't slip on the ice too much while doing his lightning thing from the rod.

Do the items work on the 3Ds, I actually never used them????
The problem is you have to collect so many of these radiance bottles....they are usually right by the slicers!
You can jump over the slicers but hard cause the ground is slippery with ice!
Maybe if there was a character that could throw something and the radiance would come back to your character????

Tried again this morning still have trouble....will do it eventually!

Not only do the items not help, but they cost Radiance to use, so you're just digging yourself a bigger hole.

I tried the Hidden Treasure, which causes Radiance to be pulled toward you. It only lasts for a little while and the range is not good enough to make much of a difference. Then I tried the Sky-Iron Shield, which makes you invincible, but it doesn't matter...even if you're invincible and you touch a slicer, YOU STILL LOSE.

What about a leveled up Dino-rang or someone like that....is their anyone who's weapon grabs the radiance and brings it towards you????
That would help.
Freak I have tried that stage like 12 times now!!!!

EDIT*****
Another 20 times this morning!!! Finally got it!!! Used Flamslinger then Sonic boom.

The first two rounds are pretty simple...the last round I think you gotta get a little lucky. Make sure when round two ends you try and collect way more then 80! That will help!
I would just stand in one place not getting hit by slicers....hoping that treasure chest would be near me and they did come!
Got 2 chest, a clock, and a floating radiance, plus the near by enemies!
