3DS portal on PS3? [CLOSED]

Does anyone use the 3DS portal on the PS3 version? I just tried hooking it up and it seems to work just fine. Has anyone come across and problems with it?

Only thing w/ that is you can only fit one character on it so you can't co-op. I haven't tried it yet but I just got the wired PC portal, I think i'll give it a try on my ps3. Tired of changing batteries!

...Except the PS3 doesn't have a infrared receiver so... Yeah.

The 3DS portal allows for USB to mini-USB connection which the PS3 version doesn't allow, therefore you don't need batteries.

No PS3 is built with an IR receiver, it was something that Sony said they were going to add and never did. You can buy IR dongles for them however.

You caught me, it's just a dongle, came with the blu-ray player remote my gf got me for christmas.

The 3DS portal can fit 2 figures if you plug it into a console. I haven't used it myself only because I feel the wire isn't long enough. If I'm wrong someone please correct me.

You can probably fit two characters at a squeeze. I'd still prefer to use the bigger portal, myself!
