Which Skylanders villain do you like more?

Kaos - an evil Portal Master with a big ego, tries to be taken seriously as a villain, has a powerful Hydra, and can summon spells with the use of the Eternal Sources and create evil versions of various enemies, including the Skylanders.

Hektore, a fearsome invader, more ruthless and intimidating, fires lasers from his eyes that are powerful enough to destroy the Skylanders during levels if they don't reach the end in time. Can summon enemies and dark magic.

I like Kaos for his character and personality but Hektore seems to be a bigger threat and a more intimidating villain.

Pardon my ignorance but do you fight Hectore at the end? If so, then what is the premise given that he can smite you so readily during the levels beforehand?

Yes you fight Hektore as the final boss. He summons bigger versions of certain enemies while firing lasers and summoning spells at you while you fight. And when you hit him, you can attack Hektore three times before he begins chasing you down firing lasers to the Dark Mirror.

I agree completely with this. The real issue I had with Hektore was that he didn't have a full body, just a floating head.

But, how is it that you can defeat Hectore at the final boss level but could not fight him earlier? Do you get "amazing weapon of awesomeness" during the course of the game, or the like?

Well you aren't strong enough to stop Hektore in the levels prior to the final boss until they find a way to destroy the Dark Mirror his power is from. When the Dark Mirror was destroyed, Hektore was destroyed shortly afterwards.

^ You don't fight him during the other points in the game, he just attacks you when you're running low on time during the levels because it's a timed platforming game similar to Super Mario Bros. It shows a short cinematic of him entering with text that says, "Hectore is coming" but you don't actually see him (except some cases) on screen. Lasers are shot from the sky (nowhere) at you that deal a great amount of damage.

Aura clarified, thanks for that.

My point was that if Hectore was so powerful that he could shoot lasers from afar then it did not make sense that you could suddenly defeat him in the final boss level.

The whole Dark Mirror things clears that up, thanks!

Kaos, and it's not even close. He has personality and was harder to beat. One of the few things I thought could've been improved about the 3DS game was that Hektore seemed like a very generic villain, and that the majority of the times he threatened you it was just with a countdown to the end of a level.

I prefer Hector at the moment seeing as I've only got the 3DS version. But I may be getting the PS3 version so I'll have to wait and see who I like more. smilie

You need to get your hands on the big brother version of the game!!! Whole game is much better on the consoles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like them both because Kaos is a funny villan and Hektore is more evil.
