I honestly thought he was a crocodile due to his Australian accent and boomerangs(lol stereotypes).

But then again; some people think dinosaurs resemble crocodiles and visa versa.

Although the picture on this page (between "Story" and "Power Stats") he looks more like a dinosaur than anything.

I say he's a crocodile. never mind the the accent, and boomerangs. there's just nothing about him that says "dinosaur"

If you had read his backstory, it says that he's a dinosaur.

"For years, Dino-Rang trained to use the weapons of his tribe – earthen boomerangs. His people were skilled hunters in a world far away from the realm of Skylands. As he slept one night, a freak portal suddenly opened beneath him. Unsure of how… or why… he arrived in Skylands, Dino-Rang set out to explore the world that was suddenly his new home. Eventually becoming a Skylander, he now fights with his own brand of dino-justice, while seeking out the fabled Twin Diamond Boomerangs, which he believes could hold the clues to his greater destiny."

Crocodiles are a type of dinosaur. So he's sort of both.

Shouldn't the option be dinosaur or alligator?

I remember seeing an early version of his ref once, stating that he WASN'T a dinosaur and that the "Dino" was more of a namesake. Though unfortunately I can't seem to find it again ( I read it sometime before Skylanders came out...Possibly from a lore tablet in SU), and it could possibly be considered not cannon anymore...

I'd say dinosaur purely due to the name. Perhaps some type of prehistoric alligator?

Poor Dino-Rang, can't ever get by without being called a dragon in his world...or a crocodilian in ours.

Truly his plight for recognition as what he actually is, is a sad one.

Edit: Plus you can actually tell he isn't crocodilian; his snout isn't nearly long enough, and he has a four-three digit pattern on his hands and feet respectively, whereas all living reptiles with limbs have a five-five pattern (even if some have fused, as with the chameleon).

Eh.

Yup. The two species cohabitated. He can be one without necessarily not being the other; dinosaur and crocodile are not mutually exclusive, from a strictly technical perspective.

i thought he was a crocodile for a long time, but hes actually a dinosaur, at least thats what it says in all the official stuff. Besides, like others before me on this topic have said, crocodiles are also dinosaurs in a sense, so in a sense, hes both. =3 so whatever you think just go with it and dont let anyone bother you with your opinions lol xD
