I'm playing Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure on Wii and I'm stuck on level 5 oilspill island, not because I don't know what to do but because I think there might be a bug in the game. At the end of the level I'm unable to pick the bomb up and walk with it before I throw it into the smoking chimney, as soon as I pick the bomb up my skylander immediately throws it giving me no time to throw it down the chimney. Any suggestions would be appreciated. There are no walkthrough's for the Wii on youtube.

Hm. That's a strange bug if so. And you're definitely not nudging the Wiimote at all? (Sorry if that sounds obvious).

What are the controls for throwing a bomb on the Wii version? You don't have the stick held down or are shaking the remote or whatever you do to throw bombs by accident, do you? Do any other levels have the problem with bombs?

You swing the Wiimote.

I think it's a problem with the motion, should your remote make a slight tilt pointing down. I think it's just how the Wiimote responds.

We have the same issue with our version on wii. Have tried all things mentioned above but no joy. Squidgy - have you got past this? Any suggestions would be welcomed.

Our wii has issues every now and then with the remotes. We have not had the same problem as you for that chapter. We have found that 3rd party remotes do not work nearly as well as nintendo branded remotes. My wife has since learned the hard way to always spend the $ for nintendo branded remotes.

Hmm. Does this happen every time you play the level? You might want to try resetting the game or something. There's that bomb that's near the cove of the ruins that you could try to test out but if it's still happening it's got to be something with you moving the remote.

Before Oilspill, you don't have access to the beach.

I'd been having issues with the remote on other games as well, mainly with games that use the motion sensor. I realised that if I wanted to play these games that I would have to buy some new controls. as soon as I put the new controls on the game worked fine so if your problem is the same as mine you need to get some new wiimotes as to throw the bomb you need to use the motion sensor (shake the wiimote) hope this helps.
