I would have to say that i like the 3ds a little better. I love the 2 player mode on the console version. But i really like the story mode on the 3ds and you can JUMP actually double jump. I just wish the 3ds version was longer.

Which one do you prefer or play with more?

They're both great in their own respects. Have yet to beat the 3DS version since I only play it when I'm waiting between classes. That being said, the way some of the characters play in the 3DS version is awesome. I feel adding the ability to jump in the console version would have made the experience even better as well as made some characters more fun to play.

I love both of them, but I probably play the console one more. I recently got all 125 Gems in the 3DS one, and need to do the Adventure Pack levels, but I have been playing the console one nearly continually since the release (only putting it on the backburner now because I've already completed it, and I have other games to play now).

I love all 3 versions of the game. Console, 3DS and online but every version has it's pro and contra

pro
console: graphics, cutscenes, gameplay, better character swich option, no time limit in the regular chapters, you canot fall down and loose lives
3DS: jumping (i missed that so much on the console..., 3D, button to move faster, Dark Spyro has other attacks unlike his 2 other versions
online: more levels, minigames, you can play with Skylanders you don't own (rent)

contra
console: missing ability to jump, synchro of the characters, some of the Skylanders are moving very slow
3DS: graphics not that good like on the consoles, actually only 2 cutscenes, you can fall down
online: just running around and bashing chests and eating plants - little boring after a while

The two games are real fun, but I'll have to go with the Console version. the 3DS version is kind of quick, and got boring to me after a while. I'll give the 3DS version credit though, you can switch between two Skylanders without using a portal.

Both are great games....but gotta go with the big brother one.
Voice acting, humor, and better upgrading paths...make it much more detailed an enjoyable experience then the 3Ds version!!!
