Map/area that gives the most gold/coins? [CLOSED]

Hi all,

My son and I have recently finished this game and have been playing for a bit. Now that we're done I'm looking to see which area gives the most gold/coins to help us upgrade the rest of our skylanders (we roughly have two of each element).

First time posting, having fun with the game, just got new skylanders from the new release (Hex, Wrecking Ball).

One way you can figure out is by cracking open the data files and examining them to see what has the most.

A tech illiterate open is to search the whole game.

Do you have the pirate expansion set? Using the cheat in the overworld is my quick way of getting money for new characters.
If not, look for levels that you have not found all the chests and legendary treasures in.

I have not noticed any levels that give you much more than others. I would just play a few that you like smilie

Don't later levels give better quality/more expensive treasures than earlier ones?

The first part of Lair of Kaos. Play the level until you get all 3 Gold keys to open the gate. You can do level 1-10 to 3 chapter restarts and it should take 3-4 restarts to have gold for all of the upgrades.

the money cheat only work from level 8 and end at level 11.... read more about it here...

My favourite coin collect levels are the Perilous Pastures and the Crystal Eye Castle.

Before the boss battle in Kaos' Lair. Lots of gems laying around. Also, if you have Pirate Seas Adventure Pack, you can keep getting the hidden treasure chests.

Go to Lair of Kaos and only pick money. Boom! About 1500 more money! That is how I trained my Hex!

Do you have the Wii Version of the game? If so, there's an exploit with the Dragon Treasure Chest from the Pirate Seas expansion that is super amazing for gaining a lot of money fast.
