I just got to the final level today... and tried fighting Kaos. But I couldn't beat him today...

He's pretty difficult. Does anybody have any tips for beating him?

My characters are:

Spyro (LVL 10)
Trigger Happy (LVL 10)
Whirlwind (LVL 10)
Gill Grunt (LVL 9, almost 10)

I must have tried over five times already... although at this point I might have to put it off until I can buy more toys if I absolutely can't beat him...

Also, is there ANY way to skip Kaos's dialogue? It's getting kind of annoying having to see him talk every time I die...

if you have the wii version, you can press c to skip him talk.

I have the PS3 version. I could have sworn I skipped someone else's dialogue when the prompt didn't come up, but I have no idea how I did so.

Oh god, the talking. That drove me insane...

I have no idea how to defeat him with the Skylanders you have, i did most of the battle with Stealth elf. Gill grunt and Trigger happy both died, and they were fully maxed... Tho IMO the faster the Skylander the better.

try pressing ALL the buttons, and see if that helps.

Yah try pushing some of the buttons, sometimes it works....will skip part of his long speeches.
I agree it's annoying, they need to fix that in the second game. It's funny the first time but hearing "minion" over and over again gets to yah!

Have you beat him yet? Would buy the "pirate seas pack" if having trouble....You will get an extra character and the fighting swords!

Apparently, Trigger Happy's guns pack quite a punch. A friend and I both played as Trigger Happy and completely nailed him, managing to get the trophy in the process.

All I can suggest otherwise is to do the Heroic Challenges to boost stats.

If you have Whirlwind on the rainbow path, you can charge up her tornado attack before Kaos comes down, releasing it right when those dots under his suit change red. It'll distract and hurt the minions for a little while while you fly around and focus you main attacks on Kaos himself. I got the trophy for beating Kaos without switching with that XP

I usually use Trigger Happy's gattling gun (or whatever its called) to kill the minions within seconds. Then you can focus on just downing Kaos..for me I just spam his Z attack (wii version) over and over while trying to dodge some obstacles (I usually only bother to dodge the laser attack and the doom sharks). The minions you down leave health, try to push off eating the items until you absolutely need them.

Besides that I would say buy the Pirate Seas pack because the fighting swords and the pirate ship itself will help you inflict a lot more damage. Plus you'll have Terrafin who has no problem defeating those minions (just keep burrowing and jumping out on them over and over) and does good damage to Kaos.
