1. Load up Lair of Kaos.
   
2. Play through to where you take the floating platforms (the ones with 4 spikes on them)
   
3. Restart the chapter.
   
4. NB: Ignore the Magic Doorway extra bit, it's not worth it if you're grinding up characters.
   

You'll hit level 10 in about 10 mins per character, you'll also make around 1k of money too.

If you need more money/xp, take the left hand floating platform and kill the 4 knights, 1 magician and collect about another 200g.

This is how I got all 24 currently released skylanders to level 10 with all abilities unlocked, in 1 evening.

Nice, thanks for the tip! I'll have to try this. I was just going to not play some of the characters, but 10min each doesn't sound too bad.

Cool! I might do this for my normal Spyro (leveled up Legendary and Dark, was going to leave him for now). For future waves or when I get the other half of the released figures I plan to make a new save to level them up.

It really helped me get all upgrades for my Skylanders.

I got them all to level 10 on the 3DS though.

This is an excellent way to level and get money to upgrade your figures. I've done this technique for about 6 of my figures.

Money is also pretty easy since they are scattered around the map before opening the gate with the 3 locks.

Although, 24 released characters? What?
I thought there were only 20! Did some new ones get released?

LevanJess: I'll assume you didn't remember to count Dark Spyro, Legendary Bash, Legendary Chop Chop and Legendary Spyro. They're all individual characters.

Ah, I didn't count those 4! I thought they meant actual different characters that haven't been released within the first wave.

am i doing this wrong? it took me an hour to get chop chop from level 6 to level 10 using this method (i effing hate chop chop. )

I am already doing this I go there every time I get a new skylander all my skylanders now are level 10 I have 25 now I am getting all of them
