A green line appears when you wonder to far from each other.
I think its a referance/cameo.

It's reference to the Snake Chains from DotD that bonded Spyro and Cynder together.

I can't do a 2 player on my PS3... ALL BECAUSE OF THAT DARN USB STICK GOING INTO ONE OF THE CONTROLLER SLOTS! STUPIDEST THING EVER!

I don't see the problem. Your console should have come with one wireless controller and two USB ports. Plug in Portal, plug in second controller, profit. How would you expect the Portal to communicate with the PS3 without a plug of some sort? |

Yeah totally wireless. Do they sell plug in "ball and chain" controllers for the PS3? I've never seen them.

Btw, kudos to the PS3 for having the only rechargeable controllers so that I can avoid AA batteries, but why the heck do I have to have the console powered on to charge the dang controllers. That's a big PITA.

It's a USB charger. You can plug it into any USB port, meaning that you can charge it from a laptop or computer if you wanted to. You can also buy charging cradles that plug into a wall (Energizer sells a nice one that charger two controllers as well as a bluetooth headset), or get an adapter that plugs into a wall socket that you then plug the USB charger into. |

I wish you can go anywhere you want. Have you're own screen.

That would have been good, Dragon - although online play isn't necessarily feasible, they could have definitely put a split-screen option in the game. But then maybe they tried it and it didn't work? I know sometimes when the action gets chaotic on-screen, I've had problems with the game crashing; imagine if there's two halves of the screen with a lot going on. It would be a nightmare!
I think I could possibly live with having to force both players to be on the same screen but to perhaps nix the tether and introduce a warp system if the second player goes off-screen (a bit like when someone goes on a jump pad to go much higher). I've found times, especially on areas with jump pads where you're going across platforms, that I've ended up taking my Skylander off the platform and letting another person do the work (or vice versa), purely because it's so frustrating if one person falls off and the person who made progress has to backtrack just to help them out. |

I think split-screen is a great idea but for some reason people always seem to complain about it?
For example, the Lego games always cop flak about the split screen paradigm but I think it rocks!

I think the difficulty comes in split screen that people end up not being able to see all of the action. Either a horizontal split squashes everything down, or a vertical split causes you to lose what's going on at the sides of the screen. Having been a gamer for over twenty years now, I personally don't have a huge issue with split-screen, but a lot of people seem to do so nowadays!

I really hate how PS3 doesn't allow for battery replacement after it stops charging. That means if you ever want a wireless controller, you have to buy a new one at near 60 bucks.

My husband bought and replaced the battery in one of my brother's PS3 controllers when a 3rd party charging cradle messed up the old one, I think he got it from amazon.
