I reckon they'll need a new venue for all figures. TRU shutting down is going to be a major blow for fans and newcomers in terms of how accessible their toys are, unless they shop online. Even then I think that takes out a lot of the fun from TTL, even for me as an adult.

Where countries are folks from, and what major toy stores/stores that stock Toys-to-Life do you have? In the UK we're really down to Smyths now, with some supermarkets having a bit of a toy section depending on their size (Morrison's and Asda, mainly).

In Australia you might find some in a BigW chain store but only the dregs. Target may have a really small section of toys that nobody wants (think Dive Clops SSC). EB Games (Australian version of Gamestop) no longer stock them but still have trade in bins of over priced and often broken Skylanders. The other stores that used to sell them got out of them some time ago.

Where I'm from, it's basically down to Target if Skylanders comes back. The Walmarts around me barely supported Skylanders Imaginators and the Gamestops were even worse.

(Although to be honest, none of this really affects me now that I live in Korea, since Skylanders was never released here and there's a good chance I might be the only person in my city, if not all of Korea, who even has a Skylanders collection in his home).

Unless IPs have an expiration date of less than 70 years, you need to stop saying bull. Any game owned by any copyright holder can be revived as long as they care about it, unless by some crazy happening it's associated with controversy. Skylanders, Spyro, etc can't die in this generation, even if it might as well be dead to us.

I always forget Best Buy even carries Skylanders, because every time I happened to check there they never had anything except a few of the most common, overproduced figures. Or a bunch of those ugly steel plated variants they had....

Except for some reason the Steel Plated Hood Sickle, who was available for all of a week...

I mean, the figure looked like <excrement>, but he actually looked pretty cool in-game. I bought one for my nephew for Xmas 2016 and then went back a week later to get one for myself and nada. :/

Steel Plated Hood Sickle in game looks amazing, no idea how they ruined so badly simple greenish metallic paint. Then again, they made it actually green instead of silver.

Especially because they choose to not use the most famous ones (except for maybe Gill Grunt).

Guess Spyro and Crash could still be there in their classic looks, but it’s great how this series got to be in that movie along with pop-culture icons such as the Iron Giant or the DeLorean from Back to the Future.

Yeah, but it’s still nice to have them on the big screen, even if just briefly.
I guess Skylanders does have credits for being experimental in the ways it ties both toys and videogames together, but it arguably had less impact on popular culture compared to games such as Undertale or Overwatch (each one for fairly different reasons) which are featured in the movie as well.

Really curious to see if they stuck with a cartoony style or aimed at a slightly more “realistic” look.

well, torch is the only obscure one there, though she got marketed plenty during TT.

That's one hell of a list. Lots of games there that I'm excited about. Hope it's not a fake list, but many titles there seem rather obvious for the switch and it seems real to me. So who knows?

Keep in mind, aside from being fake, this might've been the working title of the cancelled Skylanders 7. The Switch devs could've added it while it was in development and just never removed it when it ended. It does match VV's title themes.

In my personal opinion TFB are good at making good looking characters, while V.V are better at creating environments.

When I think of jet-warriors I think of air Skylanders or at least Skylanders that use Sky vechiles...I can’t see how they can create a whole new cast with this idea .

Magna Charge and Hood sickle are said to make an appearance in the new movie Ready player one along side Drobot , Gill Grunt , Torch and Blaster tron which are very weird choices if you asked me not everyone is going to look at them and instantly think oh those guys are from skylanders...Stealth elf , Spyro , Pop Fizz , Jet-vac , Eruptor , Hex , Roller Brawl Cynder and Trigger Happy are all Better Choices TBH and are very recognizable.

Already mentioned, and the list is fabricated by a bunch of kids with wikia accounts unfortunately. Some of it might be true but I went over a week back and it was full of comments about how X is their favorite character so they added them.

The imgur list was posted before the Nindies announcements, and they are all there.

Yeah something is very fish about that list...Swap force , SA 3ds and
Supercharers which all come with Stealth elf have sold more than 10 million copies that means more than
10 million people own Stealth elf wouldn’t be smart to include her instead
Same thing goes for Spyro , Jet-Vac , Trigger Happy and Cynder all of them appeard in starter packs
And on the show...why would they include wave 5 characters that only die hard skylanders fans know about like Blaster tron that’s dumb

So I've been taking advantage of Toys R Us (R.I.P. )and Target clearancing out Imaginators stuff to shore up my Imaginator Crystal collection, so I'll have 10 of every element/battle class (including senseis).

For about $75, I got:
4x Air
3x Dark
1x Earth
2x Fire
1x Light
2x Magic
3x Undead
4x Water

To finish off my collection, I just need 3x more Earth, 2x more Light, 2x more Tech and 1x Undead!

At the cost of being completely wrong, this is probably the first leaks I’m not buying into.
Too many weird or obscure choices, obvious requested choices and of course a bunch of true titles to make it look more plausible.
Even the name “Jet Warriors” itself (if not the one for the cancelled 2017 game) doesn’t sound credible: seems also like a SuperChargers 2.0 mixed with SWAP Force, and honestly doesn’t give me ideas about what it could be about.
Could be the mobile game’s name but I’m not counting on that either.

Maybe it’s my cynical part speaking after almost a month of disappointment and reality checks, but I’m not expecting this to hold any kind of truth except for the already (coincidentally?) confirmed names.

No it's still there, just had a look at it before texting here. It could also be found on Reddit and Pastedbin.

Well "Jet" could also have something to do with kinda like riding on a jetstream through time/space/dimensions or something similar, I don't think that it must be something like another supercharger-game again.

I posted the "leak" cause there's nothing else at the moment and well at least we can get back to speculations for a while. I don't think that it's legit for now but we have to wait as usual.
