The latest GD usually works fine for the whole series. It's what people check frequently, so it doesn't get lost in Toys and Merch.

I can appreciate that. I think what puts me off from the Academy model is the tail tip being accentuated, and the noticeable lack of nose detail. That kinda applies to all of his iterations since his debut in Skylanders though. Likewise, I prefer his Academy model for a TV show than his PS1 model but the different voice actors make his appearances on the silver screen jarring to me regardless.

I think the horns could use some adjusting - a common error on the show is that his horns tilt when he has to lean against something, and it's a problem if he needs to defy physics to interact - but overall I prefer his model as well. Scales blend nicely with the stylized body, no more unibrow, snout is much more expressive and the ball shape of his face is gone. Maybe put some more membranae on the wings though, I know they come out of his shoulder blades from the back shots but you can fool anyone into thinking they're buttwings because of their angle.

In my opinion it's probably the mobile game, academy season 2, or the Lost Imaginite Mines. This is actually really positive no matter what it is though, as it shows that a Activision is still committed to showcasing and marketing the Skykanders IP.

We may get a better idea of what will be there at Activision's quarterly press conference on August 3rd.

It got preview pages tho, 3 in fact. Looks copied from the Book of Elements series and the Sticker Books but someone is working on it and it's coming out... Someday.

Well, Gamescom is a little less than a month. So...we've got some time.

I think the options are:
*Academy Footage (Likely)
*Mobile Game (Most likely)
*Skylanders 7 for 2018 (...maybe but probably unlikely)
*Skylanders Spin-Off (As much as I'd like to see a Kaos game, I find this REALLY unlikely)
*Lost Imaginite Mines Coverage (It pains me to say that this is probably one of the most likely options)

I'm expecting Mobile Game, Academy Footage and/or LIM.

Academy trailer, not footage. We already have that from Mon Amiibo though it's just 30 seconds. From Netflix's pattern, after a small teaser, we get trailer, a month and/or half before release, which matches up with Gamescon.

Buuzer, the prototype Skylander isn't a thing. It's Template Template, the placeholder charater, he's used for testing only. Aura posted pictures way back but Photobucket doesn't like things to last. He's also mentioned in TCRF but since there's no pictures other than a piece of fanart I think we no longer have visual evidence of him.

Well, he is a prototype Skylander, but in the literal sense. He's there to prototype mechanics when it's too early to put Fryno or a Swapper (which the devs all use in their portfolio pictures), because he's just a simple model with flat colors and no texture.

Ah, my mistake.

Not a mistake, just diferentiating prototype skylander = early version of the character, and Template Template = early version of the game testing.

Oh nice, there are pictures still. Well, he isn't scrapped, as long as VV works on the series he'll probably stick around and get painted in worse colors than he already has like in the Crash prototype.

Oh wow, he looks kinda cool. If only there were someway to recreate him in the actual game.
