What do you guys think of the new news with being able to 3d print your own imaginators????!!!!

The consensus is that it's pretty awesome but we all want to know the pricing before we make any decisions. Some people don't care how much it costs and will fund their own private plastic army; others want one or two if the price is $30 or less, and still others would rather just keep their Imaginators in the crystals so they aren't locked to a particular design.

Not from the US, so probably unable to, hooray.

To put it simply:

I don't care about it. As long as I can play as Magmion or whoever else I want to create, I'm fine.

I can see myself spending so much money on it.

As it stands, I am waaaaay too happy about it. If I can design Edgelord properly in-game, then I am SO getting a figure of him. He's probably gonna be my favorite Imaginator until the end of time tbh.

The price is sure to be quite excessive, probably in the tune of $50+.

However, it's very exciting, and I'd consider having a figure printed at some point (likely ONLY one).

Secondly, I'll probably print only one. It'll probably be expensive af

If I can make my avatar then I will get one.

It makes me interested in creating a character or two.

I will probably create an armored angel, similar to the default imaginator who has been showed on most of the trailers.

I will wait, however, to see the quality of their 3D printing.

If the parts are edgy and cool enough I might consider getting a 3D print

The app will allow us to put our Imaginator and crystal in a 3D print compatible format, however, we will need to have access to a 3D printer of our own or resort to a 3D printer private business in order to have our figure crafted, right?

It sounds like it's going to be more like a contest. And Cartoon Network is thrown into this somehow. From what I've heard you submit your imaginatior and they will choose from every submission which ones they will 3D print

Yeah, that's true. For a moment I forgot this game is aimed at children.

I guess Activision will provide the whole service, an app for the format, a printer for the crafting.

It's not official yet, so I'll express my thoughts after it's gone live and I know the details.

Also, the in leaked trailer they talked about a working, playable skylander. That is not something that you can simply 3D print at home or through a 3D printer private business service.

I definitely wrote that comment witohut thinking too much. You are right.

I though there would be some easy way to dismantle the crystal and transfer the part containing the chip to the prototype, but the skylander wouldn't be locked to that design neither, so no, that's unfeasible. Plus there would be the enormous risk of breaking the crystal and getting thousands of complaints.

It seems it will be an all in 1 service.

Now that think about it, will it be a free app? Forget it, we are talking about Activision here...

It's probably a free app but you need to pay money to have the character meade

I hope the 3D printing fee isn't over $100. Maybe even $50 if we're lucky.

I'm gonna wait until we have more information before I make nay decisions about this.
