So far it's not looking good for me.
The ps3 doesn't have a dark edition so I'll have to get it for a console I don't even own. And The crash pack isn't coming to Nz so Amazon may be an option but I'm not sure.
The normal starter pack doesn't appeal to me. Dark looks better with designs and more stuff. Crash has, well crash and cortex, which really make me want to get the game. But the fact it's not in Nz is really killing me here. And Amazon prices are in Us dollars and it doesn't say how much Nzd, so I could be paying more for two figures and the game, which also makes me think is the game region locked, and will I have spent over $300 on plastic figures and games I can't even play?
And since supercharged came out quite bad I stopped playing skylanders for about 6 months. Since then I've had more money and I've been enjoying myself more. And we'll, just money in general is an issue for me. Until I get a job which will be in about a year. Back to what I was saying I've had other things I've been using money on and I've just cancelled skylsnders from my mind for that period of time, and considering I have over 200 figs I'm a bit sad,
Anyway not sure if this is the place to put this but I just wanted to let this out,

This, and don't forget holiday sales. No one's going to be mad at you if you take your time to get it for cheaper, and you shouldn't be harming your finances just to play this on day 1 anyway. There's also loose listings on ebay and other places where you can make your own starter pack, so don't worry too much.

On that note NZ does tend to miss out on stuff, but even if the double pack doesn't come, it'll be cheaper than 160 nzd (or I hope so)

Because it is really difficult to juggle all these countries and coordinate all these releases. I mean, look at how they handle their own country! Clearly Activision has a hard time with distribution.

The dungeon crawler aspect is intact, but no announcement of the after-game. Hope it's more than a stroll down memory lane with the race tracks. Part of me wants to wait until I hear if there's more to the game....I suspect they put all of their eggs in the creation crystal aspect so any replay ability is there. Still hoping for single missions/score mode etc.

Well you should get the regular starter pack & crash pack since imaginators does look like to be a great game, I did skip Superchargers cause i never got into it, But Imaginators really got my eye Thinking bout it they might release more stuff since infinity's dead So yeah, If you do leave Skylanders then i suppose more skylanders for me?

there is a simple solution to this, release less, but as usually activision havent learned a thing. so you can expect the yawn trap/thrilliped episode to happen allover again...


on topic... if op dont find the dark edition then i suggest he just wait for a sale later on... if he are gonna buy the game at all.

I love the guy was just worried about the packs and the money issue and people are already arguing if it's worth it full price. I already brought up sales and used.

On the country part, as much as ****ing on Activision is the cool thing, there's so much on the way - taxes, shipping, which stores they're on good terms with... It's not exclusive to them either.

I'm not getting this years either (unless it happens to be the last one which I highly doubt), Australia is a bit like New Zealand (not as bad though by the sounds but still bad compared to most other countries), we miss out on so much we have to spend hundreds of dollars just to complete our collection. SuperChargers wasn't appealing to me and I just can't throw my money out on Skylanders just to have the whole collection. I still have to pay bills, etc. I do hope they pick up for their fanbase down south. We honestly miss out on a lot just because they believe their main fan base is in the U.S and parts of Europe.
