What are your thoughts on FNaF?

It's alright but it's been overdone to death at this point.

I like the story part of it, not the actual gameplay part.

And I like all the fan comics.

The first game was great, and that, along with the story from FNAF 2 was amazing, and very well done, and left more questions than answers
FNAF 1 combined decent gameplay, fantastic atmosphere, and a compelling story, and strategic camera-watching abilities to make an awesome game~
8.9/10

FNAF 2 was more of a "omg a sequel" game.
It was more for the FNAF 1 fans, (which is still a lot of people)
Gameplay-wise, it was lacking,
After about Night 3, the "atmosphere" wears off, and all it leaves is you, frantically winding up the music box, wearing the Freddy mask, and waiting for unexpected jump scares...
If you weren't a fan of the series before, chances are you might not enjoy this game, or at least not how it was portrayed to be~
A mostly story-driven sequel that even though isn't great, it's worth $7.99

FNAF 3...
This game is a perfect ending ( even if it might not be the ending ) to the series.
This game is much easier than it's predecessors, and has less replayability, though is a tad more fun than FNAF 2.
This game improves upon FNAF 2's bad parts, the gameplay~
It balances out how many times you have to look at the camera, easily integrates new features like the ventilation, camera, and audio errors, while keeping a slightly better atmosphere than FNAF 2
The Phantom Anamatronics are fun and spooky, and it was amazing to see actual movement outside the cameras
I almost jizzed myself with joy when I saw that.
It's just amazing,
After a while the flashing lights and Phantoms get a little old, but the minigames and Cheats and other Extras help out since this game doesn't have a "Custom Night" unlike the previous FNAF games.

From a "normal gamer" point-of-view, these aren't very good games, as there's not huge variation between the games, but in this series, that's not really the only thing that counts, the most compelling part of it is, like I said, the seemingly never-ending plot~

Each game has something good and something bad, but overrall, it's a great series, and I'm glad I spent 5 bucks on the first game, and finally got into the series, because it's a lot of fun~

FNAF 1 ~ 8.9/10
FNAF 2 ~ 6.5/10
FNAF 3 ~ 7.7/10

I like the lore. I am not a an o horror games.

The gameplay is pretty unique and has a creepy atmosphere, but if it didn't have all the little rare things (animatronics looking at you on stage, backstage heads and Endoskeleton looking at you, etc.) it'd be a little thing that'd pass right by like DreadOut or whatever (NO OFFENSE DREADOUT DON'T KILL ME).

But what makes it so cool is that all the little hidden secrets all contribute to a confusing, broken lore that people still try to piece together, even when we know now that the series is probably over. There's Purple Guy, the mystery of Goldie, whether FredBear is Goldie or Springtrap, and literally all the other parts of lore. Game Theory, Smike, all the other things.

My thoughts on the series is that it's unlike any horror that's come so far. One guy, limited resources, a brave new step (haunted Chuck E Cheese). In my words, it's pretty frikkin' unbelievable.

love the games, save the second which i thought was a bit disappointing. Aside from some of the more disturbing fan art that people have created for the game i really don't mind the overblown fanbase.

Haaaaven't played it. Not even interested even though I don't know the concept.


I generally don't have any interest in horror games in general.

the first game used to scare me but now none of em scare me too much. still fun though.

I enjoy all the secrets n' such, and watching entertaining Youtubers play it and get spookd by it...^.^

But I have no interest in playing them myself, doe.

I've never enjoyed horror games with jumpscares that much (I can really only stand Alien: Isolation), but I really LOVE the lore. Its really cool and interesting.

The trilogy story is good, i'll admit that, but the overall games suck, and the fanbase is ****ty. It's overhyped and not even a great game to play. I like the whole story that went with 2 -> 1 -> 3 but eh.

I LOVE THE FNAF!

I quite like the idea of it. But I don't think it's anything amazing.

this im soo invested in thelore and i will play the games when im bored.

The lore is very interesting, and I know the first one at least did the atmosphere really well. Though I honestly think it's only truly frightening at all due to it's heavy reliance on unnecessary jump scares, which don't even really scare me in the moment, but haunt me later on because I was TERRIFIED of animatronics as a kid or anything resembling them, and this game has kinda made me remember that in my sleep. It's a wonder I got through reading up on the lore of the first game on the wiki, with Bonnie and Chica staring at me the whole time. Though honestly, out of the ones in the first game, Freddy (and Golden Freddy by extension) and Chica are the only ones who startle me, because they have...something resembling emotion in them, blurring the line between being alive and just being robots, where as Foxy and Bonnie didn't really have that in the first game (and really Foxy's kill screen at least never catches you off guard and isn't that scary in the first place). And of course, Freddy has all of those ties in the backstory that add to his creepiness even more.

The gameplay is not really that substantial though so I honestly think the games would work better as like, interactive novels or something. I mean, the lore, atmosphere, and creepy imagery is all anyone truly cares about.

On the surface, It's two bad games and one good one, all of which you will forget in a month.

But.. When you become interested in the lore, and story, they're so much better~

It's good, it's executed very well in my opinion. I just wish fan art wouldn't try to humanize the humanize the monsters (?) so much.

Many classics we know today, like Mario or Sonic, were instant classics when their first games came out.

I think the game is only fun when it's your first time. Lore is fun to read about, fandom can go die, gameplay isn't great, atmosphere is amazing, and it is all jump scare. It's a mixed bag in my opinion.

1. Overrated 2. I like robots but not horror games and movies. The closest I'm getting to that is the Germlins.

I don't think it's as scary as people claim it to be. I've watched a walkthrough on youtube and I don't think it's scary at all. I do admit that I may find it scary when I'm actually playing though. But even then, I think there way are scarier stuff out there, like Silent Hill P.T (especially this one), Amnesia, etc *shudders*. But I think it's more that I find killer toys not as scary as disgusting creatures and blood/gore like in Silent Hill, which seems like the opposite to a lot of people.
