Decided to pack them all up. Picked up the last one I needed today (Lightcore Bumble Blast) and decided to make some room on the shelves. I'll more than likely still pick up Trap Team but only when it's on sale and probably after it's been out for a while. Variants on the other hand...lol.

Yes i know it wont last forever but to pack it all up as soon as you bought the last one ? At least play with LC Bumble Blast a bit

Oooh, ouch (just felt a pinch of "collector's pain"). I totally hear you as far as the need to clear shelf room. I too am torn between wanting to display em all vs the practicality of it. I've already changed my own display/packing mentality at least half a dozen times since SSA.

But from one collector to another, at *least* give them the decency of a plastic tote!
You can still have the awesome explosion of color with a bit mo' protection.

Oh for sheepsake its too cruel for words . All your skylanders at the bottom of that box are being slowly crushed to death .

Same. My swappers are currently sitting in a box, and I've almost got an entire bookshelf consumed by these guys. I love the figures, but there's a point where I'd like to display other things too.

Got all my 174+ figures in various bins. It's a pain when trying to find that ONE character you're looking for. >.<

I highly recommend that you take that Glow in the Dark Cynder out of there. It'll pick up the paint from the other figures.

My boys keep their figures in their bins. The only ones on display are the variants, which are mine. And, yes, space is starting to become a premium. This go around with Trap Team and Disney Infinity 2.0, space is going to be more tight.

My original reason for packing them up is that we're having friends over this weekend and I've let their kids play Skylanders before and they weren't very careful or respectful of my stuff. I figured I would do away with the temptation of asking to play if they couldn't see them at all. But after clearing off 3 shelves worth of Skylanders, I realized 1.) I really needed to dust and 2.) I could use the shelf space better. I'll probably move them to a plastic tote/bin but the box was just handy.

The top left had the Giants and the Adventure Sets.
The next shelf had SSA and Giants and Giants Lightcores
3rd from the bottom had all Swap Force (regulars, swappers and lightcores)
Bottom shelf had various color swaps/variants.

Each section was pretty packed and I definitely appreciate the extra room to display other goodies and collectibles.

Yeah, I had a nice display. But with Trap Team(which is REALLY tempting to get thanks to the newly revealed characters!) coming out, and I will not be getting it, I needed to pack it away. Soon, I will need to leave the site to avoid more temptations. I caught myself planning how long I need to reserve money for Trap Team! So, if I had a picture, I would show it. But I don't.

Also, I would recommend putting those figures in bins instead of that box. Various things could happen.

It's still a huge "maybe" if I will even buy Trap Team, but I recently gave most of my figures, my portal, my guides, and the first two games to a friend with kids. I'm still collecting a very few of the toys proper because I like their designs, but the urge to have a big collection of them has (thankfully) passed. I like the idea of being able to play a Skylanders game with just the characters I want and no extras (lookin' at you, Gil Grunt), but it's also kind of a pain in the butt to play with all the character swapping. My little shelf of Skylanders is enough for now.

For me, I don't have a mansion to display mine...so yeah....mine is packed up too when I'm done.

I think you may have typo'd. Either that, or you came back in time from the future. And that would mean you're holding out on Trap Team info.

My opened collection has been packed in a drawer for almost 2 years. My 5(?) sealed are hanging on my wall collecting dust.

Yeah i got my collection scattered all over my living room....3 tables...(the Swap figures are on the coffee table, since im playing that game the most)....haven't a clue where im going to put the Trap Team figures.

@Phoenix_Lord, looks like you must buy another coffee table for the trap team...

well whatever you plan to do, you will always be remembered as one of many portal masters. We will miss your support for this incredible franchise and hope to meet again. Not saying your leaving, but giving my best wishes to you is all.
