So up until the level with Baron von Shellshock, I've been really enjoying this game.
I have now spent at least an hour and a half doing this level and skipping a lot in the end because of the Spin Swapzone game.
The fact that the challenge restarts if a Swap Skylander is reduced to 0HP is irritation enough. But at least with most games, you can memorise where you need to go and it's a learning curve.
The Spin Swapzone game in this level? I must have tried it ten times. Gotten up to the last bit, and about to whale on the statue, and died. Repeatedly.
I'm at the point now where if I don't recover from the aggravation after tonight, the game may need to rest for a few days because it took my enjoyment of it away that much.
Has anyone else experience frustration with any new aspect of Swap Force like this?

This all being said, of course, I'm playing on Hard difficulty.
Do these challenges actually become any easier (i.e. less damage, et cetera) on an easier difficulty? Because I can happily go back after I've beaten the game on Hard and mop up these Swap Zones. |

the amount of damage you take in them drastically drops in lower difficulties, the first time I played one (a rocket zone) I was playing with some kids so it was on easy, and I was able to just fly through obstacles like they didn't matter, can't do that on hard I'm sure you've seen, so if the problem is running out of health, yes it will be much easier on a lower difficulty.

Thanks so much for the reply and the clarification!
I think with this knowledge in hand, I'm happy enough to continue with the game and complete it, and then shift the difficulty down. You can do that I believe on a game file (with exception to Nightmare difficulty), right? Literally, you can only take two or three hits, as you know, on Hard, so knowing I will have a much easier time on a lower difficulty, I'm happy with this. |

I'm guessing this is the Spin zone with the mines that hurt when you touch them? Just do it on Easy haha, don't waste too much time there.

;) Totally feel your pain. Spin Zones are the absolute worse. Don't know how many times I've lost control of my little buddy and just spun myself clean off the last round platform.

I'd say that Spin zones are the second toughest SWAP Zones in the game. Teleportation takes the title as toughest.

How hard are the dig zones? I don't have Grilla Drilla yet, and I'd like to know if I need to take the time to do the dig zones when I get him, or if I can wait a while before I do those certain zones.

I hate the Spin Zones a whole lot. But I can't wait to play the Sneak Zones.

Well I'd be honored to tell you about the dig zones. The dig zones I would say is the third most difficult only because the area is dark and you have only a little bit of light to guide you through the area. There are mine carts that can ram into you, which damage you and don't expect to jump over them I've tried and you still get hurt. You do get quite a bit of time to find the holes you have to dig, but it still provides a good challenge and is one of the more mysterious zones with its design.

I hate the spin challenges with a passion. The first one wasn't too bad and I pulled three stars on that with no major issues. The Spin challenge from Tower of Time took many, MANY tries and more than a few colorful vocabulary words before I could 3 star it. I detest all spin challenges! Other ones are great, but forget those spin ones!

I'll be honest, the Spin zones are a complete pain in my rear, regardless of difficulty. I can't comment on the difficulty of Sneak or Dig, but so far only Spin really makes me sigh inwardly as I put together *prefix* Ranger to muddle through it.
Teleportation is tricky, but I at least have exact control, the spinning mechanic makes me feel like I'm riding a mechanical bull or something.

I'm actually okay with Teleportation. It can be a bit tricky, and a few I've needed three or so attempts on, but it's like an old arcade game in a way and just requires some good reflexes.
With Spin zones though, I just feel as though not pressing anything on the controller will give me just as much control as me actually putting a concerted effort into moving the character. |

I actually thought the Teleport zones were easiest, besides Bounce Zones, which anyone can mop the floor with. I find them quite relaxing, they're my favourite. Protip: if you keep holding the teleport button, you can continue teleporting with it while you hold the aim button.
I found Speed Zones a little trickier than the Teleport Zones, but they still weren't too difficult. Rocket Zones were harder than Bounce/Teleport but easier than Speed, as you could generally see more easily in them. I think Climb Zones are harder than those as they are harder to avoid obstacles on and some require a jump of faith. And Spin Zones are almost unfair. I hated doing the one in Twisty Tunnel(painful trying to get all three gems, but I didn't give up and eventually did it). I like the idea, but I don't really like the execution.
