Mine went smoothly and almost turned out the way I wanted it to. I spent $40 then I would have liked to, but hey, TRU had the B1G1 40% deal, couldn't resist. I've never seen so many skylanders at a store, they were way overstocked, I did get there at noon though, so maybe all the scalpers hadn't come out of their caves yet. They were under stocked for the Tower of Time pack, Rattle Shake, Smolderdash, Magna Charge, and LC Flashwing. Got everyone I wanted, including one of each of the few that were I just mentioned. I went to gamestop next to get the guide and Pokemon Y and it's guide (Which has even delayed a week evidently ). They were severely understocked, all I really saw was maybe 1 or 2 of each figure, not all the wave 1nes were there, glad I didn't preorder it from there. Next was target, the whole electronics section was in complete chaos, you couldn't walk anywhere without almost stepping on a little kid's foot, they were swarming the skylanders section, which was nearly as understocked as my gamestop was. But seeing the crowds of sweltering dirt children bickering with siblings over what skylanders to buy for 15 min, giving me a migrane with their constant screeching made me understand that they got cleaned out quickly, they didn't even have enough starter packs out to sustain the customers. The poor employees had to keep running back and forth to the back of the store and get more packs. Even though I have a headache that is still paining me as I type this, the tantrums some of them threw, along with their mothers trying to clam them down to no avail was just funny as hell. Enough about my day, how about your's?

Got the SWAP Force Starter Pack and beat the first level, I was kind of impressed with the improvements. So far, I think its better than the first 2 games and I think they are finally starting to get things done right with the series.

I didn't find any figures though, just the starter pack. I'll have better luck tomorrow though.

I got both the 360 version and the 3DS version. thus i got 2 LC hex. .... Anyways, checked out battle mode a bit as me and my nephew fought each other... It's cool that now both participants gets treasure and EXP.

Been playing 3DS since I took my 4 hour nap... it's fun much improved from Giants. Sadly, I won't be getting any more figures for a bit... next up is I'm getting 4 rechargable AA batteries so I can play 360 version better... and when my nephew comes over again... he can use a wireless controler.


So yeah... good times good times.

Mine went pretty smoothly also. I did have to go to Target from GameStop because they have a 6 figure limit. At GameStop I grabbed Grim Creeper, Star Strike and the four swappers. At target I snagged Smolderdash, Zoo Lou and Roller Brawl

Went smoothly. Got all the stuff on my list as early as possible.

Decided to wait for my niece before I ripped everything open. I arranged everything I got on top of my computer desk and just chilled out for a bit. She was at a sleep over and wasn't in a very good mood when she got back. Told her to go check out my computer. A few minutes later she comes back and I asked her what she saw. Said "Swap Force" in a low voice and smiled.

After a trip to the Columbus Day parade and grabbing some food, we set to work on getting them out of the boxes. I unpacked and she goofed around with the figures, asking me roughly eight million questions about them. "Are any on them kids?, Are they sisters?, Why doesn't Roller Brawl have feet?", etc... After they were all out, I did a little rearranging of all my figures and we set to work. Got through nearly three levels before she had to go. I finished off the last of the one we were working on and set the game aside for later.

Pretty fun day. I'm very happy about the game, so far. The levels are so much more diverse, I find. Lots to explore and plenty of little side missions. Looking forward to the next round of figures!

TRU had tons of figures to choose from! This was good because SO many had horrible paint jobs, and I had a lot to pick over.

I didn't get anything.
But I plan on picking up the Legendaries and Enchanted HL if I come across them.
I'm waiting for sales for the game.

Went to GS very early and watched as several skylander fans arrived to buy skylanders.
Got to chat with a couple after and before the stores opened.

Once it did open I rushed to the case stocked with everything wave one besides exclusives and triple packs.
Naturally I picked up my dark starter wii pack which was the only exclusive.
Sadly I only had enough cash for 1 extra swapper (Free Ranger single) and 1 core (Zoo Lou)
I love them so much and definitely cant wait to get more figures to add to my huge collection

Went to TRU primarily to pick up the Disney Infinity Crystal figures as well as the Legendaries as those were the ones I told myself I would buy at release (besides Exclusives like Enchanted Hoot Loop, Nitro Magna Charge, etc). Because of the sale, I ended up buying every single figure as well as the 3DS starter pack. I had ordered the Walmart and Target exclusives so now I'm just waiting for those to arrive. Went to GS when they opened at 11 to pick up my 360 Dark Starter.

So much for not getting caught up in the hype this time around.

I got up at 7:15 just to get to Target when they opened at 8. The only thing I bought was the Nitro Magna Charge and Rattle Shake double pack, by the way, they had tons of them, so go get em. I don't even have the game yet, I am waiting till my birthday in five days.

There was only one nitro/rattle Shake double left when I got there, it didn't last long before the kids got to it.

Went to Target at 8:30am and saw plenty of both Nitro packs. There was only me and a kid with his dad. They were rather quietly picking over the things to get most of the things and balancing stuff out to ensure no duplicates. I picked up Nitro/Free Ranger and went on my way. Only downside was only 1 register was open for checkouts and it was at the opposite end of the store from where I parked.

Plenty of stock there, pegs full with just about everything.

Went to GameStop next, getting there a couple of minutes before they opened at 9. When they did open, I was the only one in the store besides the 2 workers. Got the my Wii Dark Starter and Pokemon X. Also was able to use a GS coupon and a Frito coupon to get $20 off. Also grabbed a Roller Brawl there.

Overall, an awesome day!!

Disappointed in Walmart - no stock out after midnight. Went home slept til 5am figuring this will give them time to stock. Nothing.
I went to a second Walmart nothing. I figured I'll return after my TRU visit.

TRU had all but the LC. Employee stated they had not received them. But I was able to get many of the items I sought.

Onto Target - picked up Nitro and the LCs

Revisited Walmart #2 - employee had called someone and found out their boxes were still at local distribution center. Employee was helpful and called the Walmart #1 where they had boxes but had not yet put them out on display Went back to Walmart #1 and picked up Enchanted Hoot Loop (which looks fantastic BTW).

Decide GS would be next and picked up the Dark Edition.

A good haul!!!

Got the Dark Starter pack (totally awesome), Enchanted Hoot Loop, legendary free ranger and legendary lightcore grim-creeper. Also the tower of time adventure pack! Overall, the wii versions game sucks a bit, but i dont care

Err... I don't have the game. Since I'm only 13, my parents hated the idea of going to a release at MIDNIGHT. And, I neglected to save enough cash for the Dark Starter as I planned. I only have enough for the normal. So, I continue to save up for the Dark.

I know the feeling, and I'm 16. I never went to a midnight release before because they saw it as a time they could be sleeping. Oh well, I still got everything I wanted the next morning.

Aside from getting everything that I wanted on my list I have to say I had an excellent experience. The people standing in line with me at TRU at midnight and then later when Gamestop were awesome. Totally friendly parents that were just as excited as their kids that Swap Force was being released. I didn't see a scalper in sight and everyone came very informed as to what was coming out at launch and what to expect in future releases. Some people I met knew all about this forum as well as portalflip.com and that was pretty cool to realize that even in small towns and cities in upstate NY this site has a reaching positive effect. One lady I was talking to said that it was like "Skylanders Black Friday" in which I agreed with her but later on a realized while it did have the excitement, pre-planning and deal seeking qualities of Black Friday, it lacked one huge difference. There were no pushy, rude and/or inconsiderate people. And that made me appreciate my first Skylanders launch even more.

Got everything that came out and between Sat (Pokemon X&Y) and Sun (Swap Force) this was one EXPENSIVE weekend. Talking >$700. Ouch. I am SO GLAD that I saved a little $ since the original S:SF announcement each month for this. I am still ahead on $ luckily. <wipes brow>

My first day went well. I got the wii starter pack,lightcore hex and got magna charge. My brother got roller brawl,zoo loud and lightcore star strike.

Pretty well. Got the Nitro Magna Charge/Rattle Shake dual pack. Then Legendary Grim Creeper and Legendary Free Ranger. Went to Wal-Mart for Enchanted Hoot Loop but apparently them and another nearby never got their shipment and only had starters. And next the Dark Edition Starter plus a regular Magna Charge my son wanted.

Nothing happened. :/

My first two days went well. I went to bigw and got roller brawl, lc grim creeper, lc Smolderdash, lc star strike, free ranger, hoot loop,rattle shake, magna charge, zoo Lou and count down. Also picked up the dark edition starter pack for xbox 360. Then today I went to target and got nitro magna charge.

Midnight-tru went got legendarys magma charge triple A triple b fiery forge and tower of time hoot loop rattle shake
12:30am-Walmart got enchanted hoot loop
8oam- target nitro pack and wiiu game

Just finished moving that day and my legs hurt too much to sleep so I went to the local Wal-Mart at midnight. the employees let me sift through the boxes. I picked up the 4 swap-landers (including the enchanted hoot-loop), and 3 light core new characters. There was only 1 mom with her kid waiting.

Went to bed, slept in, unpacked, and went to GameStop around noon to pick up my reserved game, lightcore hex, battle pack, and adventure pack. also picked up 2 newlanders. Stock was plentiful at both WalMart and GameStop.

Sadly, everything will stay hidden until Christmas. My wife would be angry if I gave it to the kids now.

Hi everyone,

I went to Game at 8am as it's now released in the UK. i was the only 1 waiting to get in the shop so got everything i wanted. including my Dark edition yay. Then on my way home stopped off at Toys r us and got 2 Legandary, but no Enchanted Hoot Loop or Nitro Charge yet

Then got home and my 3DS version was sent by amazon.

now i have to go to work. bummer!
