You guys can continue posting, just trying to help you understand that this could be considered a problem if BradyGames woke up on the wrong side of the bed.

Sorry to interrupt the excitement of the game...as you were.

2: The Volcanic Vault now acts as a Magical Item in Swap Force. Placing it on the portal during levels causes fire to rain down for a short period of time. I had a feeling they would change the use of this one day.

That's cool news about the VV, thanks for sharing the info.

I hope the rerelease the Volcanic Vault... do any other retailers besides GameStop have the guide early?

Well all I need to know is smilie and I'm good with the info for now. I gotta say it's going to be really hard to decide which path is better for each of them since these paths are so much more elaborate than the older characters' paths.

I'm glad I avoided the temptation to sell my Volcanic Vault. I think it's great that they repurposed it.

Exactly.
The other upgrades seemed nice, but these are great!
Can't wait to see Dune Bug's too!

Lightcores are nothing more than crippled Series 1 characters that glow on the portal...and you pay more for this.

In my opinion buying a Lightcore of anything other than a Series 1 figure is counter-productive. That 'flashbomb' effect is not better than the ability to switch paths, and have a Wow-Pow. As an alternative to a Series 1, however (that has no Wow-Pow and can't switch paths anyway), at least you get an initial damage boost when swapping mid-level... At a price. Is the portal glow effect and in-game graphics worth the cost? Buyers choice.

I'm really thinking they released the lightcores before standards this year, for a reason: make people buy the lightcores while the standard is not out yet smilie

EDIT: Also, wgeorge, can you please post upgrades for freeze blade and stink bomb?

Thanks for expounding on my rather blunt opinion of lightcores. I'm still a bit of a collector (at least the red line is drawn at treasure hunts) so unfortunately they are on my buy list...but feature wise you are spot on.

Guide is a waste of money as far as i'm concerned not really any tactical advantage to be gained and youtube videos are much more clear if your looking for specific chests or treasures

If you play the game in Nightmare Mode for Giants and Swap Force. LightCore characters end up better than Series 1. This reason is why Legendary LightCore Chill and Legendary LightCore Grim Creeper are brought up often.
