Sorry if this has already been done, but what are you gonna do when Swap Force comes out? Who will you put on the portal first? Who will you buy?

I'm gonna pick up the game from Game Stop with Free Ranger (Magna Charge too if I have enough), then put him on the portal first. I'll probably play two chapters and save the rest. I like making my games last.

First guy on the portal will be hoot loop.

My first will be whirlwind shes was my first for adventure and giants. I plan on hitting target for all the characters since there is hardly anybody at my local in the morning and so i can pick up whatever their exclusive will be. Then hit up toysrus for their legendary packs then gamestop for the dark edition pack.

Play Pokemon X and Y.

Speaking of which, went to HMV Oxford street today. Quite a big Skylanders "shop" inside! There was as much space just for Skylanders as some small game shops I've been in take up total. Nothing much I needed though, no adventure packs etc and only a tiny pre-order section for Swap force which was only for the starter packs not figures or packs.

Im the only one in my family who is skylands addicted i plan on getting one of each zone and (plz activision ) a lc triple pack comes down too... 150 ish?

Pick up dark edition and save it for Christmas. Get the adventure pack in from amazon and save it. Look for the special editions/ledgendaries/etc and save those. I still have 5 giants characters in a box that DS can earn, but I love finding them as much as he loves playing with them.
I do not plan to get reposes except dark mega ram and hex that come with the preorder.

Go to Tesco to get the Starter Pack, and also get Lightcore Warnado and Flashwing.

If I can afford more, I'd get Spyro or Countdown.

Buy normal starter all Newlanders including the lightcore ones and the swaps

Going to pre order everything I can from gamestop. Might hit up walmart to early in the morning if I'm up to it. Ill he at toys r us when they open to grab everything they have and hopefully put it on layaway if I haven't gotten my seperations pay yet. Then go to every store with exclusives to get whats left. Hopefully I can afford everything on day one if not I'm expecting my final paycheck around the 17th.

Hmmm I was thinking about this, play the Wii version of the game with only the Dark Skylanders on the highest difficulty you can choose at the start and let this board vote on which one I use in each chapter.

Probably the 4 extra Swappers that come out in Wave 1. Still doesn't make much sense that you won't be able to complete the game 100% from day 1, but I don't mind - means I don't have to spend so much day 1.

If I can, I'll probably end up buying the Nitro Magna Charge and Rattle Shake double pack, since I kind of wouldn't mind a Nitro Magna Charge. It just depends if he's a store exclusive or just an exclusive to the double pack. Also, it probably depends how he looks - if he's a blue Magna Charge then I will be very tempted.

On top of that? Possibly Lightcore Warnado, since I never had a S1 Warnado.

Sit down,pop open me 3DS and play me some Ppkemon Y. I thought hard about whether to get Pokemon or Skylanders, but then I figured that more stuff would be available by Christmas.

Other way around for me I'll get Y for Hanukkah and Swap force on day 1. And a 3ss

Multiple retailers were concerned about how top heavy the giant assortments were and informed activision if they wanted to retain product space year round a figure distribution system that encourages both casual and hardcore fans to buy skylanders all year round had to put in placed. Distribution was asked directly by several MAJOR buyers to distribute key figures more evenly. Remember last Christmas when TRU promoted having new figures and consumers were angry when the NEW figures were all just rereleases of versions they already had. Now imagine if there were key figures that provided content not yet unlocked in the game. It will be interesting to see how consumers react to this and actually continue to buy if key figures are not seen until next summer.

This decision may make consumers angry but it sustains buys for figures throughout a calendar year from a retailer perspective.

I'll get the game and whatever I feel like for the first day like maybe an extra Swapper or two and then some regular cores. I definitely will make Grim Creeper first on the Portal even if I have to get his lightcore since his regular version may not be available on day 1.

Windumup my mom said she was only buying me the regular starter pack but I still will get the regular slobber tooth first day. I am either keeping first day slobber tooth, zoo Lou, rattle shake, or magna charge.

Ill go to gamestop and get the dark edition, possibly buy a 1 or 2 figures depending on whats there. Go home and play

I was hoping thanks to my birthday I would be able to do more, but, all I will be able to do is pick up my preordered dark starter pack for Wii, buy Hoot Loop (hopefully), LC Star Strike (hopefully), The Tower of Time, and a core for my brother's Christmas present (with a bit of help from my parents).

Series2/3/lightcores: Skipping thou I might buy 1 for sealed set thou idk. Spyro/warnado/camo/ and whamshell for me are the exception to this rule(which works for me cause I want to try them down the other paths). Wife will prob want sprocket and stealth elf. My son will wants hot dog, camo and gill grunt. Their favs.

This time around thou I will be skipping series 1 regulars in favor of lightcores if they are series 1 lightcores. (Like i should done with pop fizz,chill and shroomboom)


Then I will be broke.

Already told the wife/son and myself that swap force is xmas and both their bdays as the wife is in dec and the son in Feb. Attempting to convince the wife that her dark edition is her anniversary gift as our 1st anniversary is 2 days prior to release, but failing so far at that lol.

Biggest goals:
Not miss out on a variant and to avoid doubles of stuff.


BTW does anyone have saved the thread that showed the walmart orders online of what is part of each pack. I know ppl found it awhile ago and want to see what's in each triple etc if possible.

I have been saving up since February so I can get one of each wave 1 release whoever they are.
Not sure how much I have saved as my money box is sealed, so may not have enough which is a bummer, so I would have to be selective.
First on portal is Dark Wash Buckler.
Then I am gonna add all my exisiting ones and claim ownership.
Then gonna have a bash at all my newby's.
Booked the day off work, kids and school and wife at work.

I am getting a PS3 dark starter, a 3ds starter, and a wii u starter (may change to a PS4 starter). I will pick up everything I can in wave one as I have a couple of hundred in rewards dollars.

I was originally gonna wait until Christmas to get the game. But now that I've seen more info about it and I've got enough money, I have pre-ordered the PS3 starter pack from Amazon. I also pre-ordered the Tower of Time adventure pack. During the release day, I'm gonna go to Asda or GAME and buy some more figures, preferably Rollerbrawl, Lightcore Warnado and the triple pack with Spyro, Zoo Lou and Chill.

I have Swap Force Dark Edition Wii U pre-ordered from Gamestop, and the two additional character packs pre-ordered on Amazon. I have an in-store preoder for the 3DS version from Target as well because I saw the Lightcore Hex offer when I was there, and thought maybe it was their exclusive, but now it seems I'll end up with two Lightcore Hexes since everyone is offering it. Anyway, my launch day plan is to go to Target and get my pre-order of the 3DS version, then hope the other places ship quickly so I can be playing the Wii U version ASAP. I like the 3DS versions, but enjoy the major console ones more!

Still undecided for any in game variant outside of the dark stuff. Will probably get 3 of all legendary at a minimum. No chase variants for sure. As previously communicated, this is at least a 50% less of what I purchased in Giants. After reviewing my son's playing habits on his S2 reposed characters, it just doesn't make sense to get the reposed guys or all of the in game variants. (From a collecting standpoint, I'm fine having all released Eruptors, but Activision hasn't brought enough to the table to justify me for playing purposes).

Seeing this now in print makes me realize I may need to cut more--the total is around $1330 before tax.

I hope to buy the starter pack, Magna Charge, Trap Shadow, Fire Kraken, Night Shift, Free Ranger, Doom Stone, Grilla Drilla, Punk Shock, Camo, Prism Break, Jet Vac, Hot Dog, Scorp and some other character I can't remember. If any or all of those are outby Dec-Jan when I might end up getting it. I'm so getting Pokemon X first though.

I am going to try to preorder the Dark edition tonight, if they do not have it anymore then I will be getting the regular. I will go to TRU and get every legendary, and I really want S3 Spyro and any new one, maybe I can convince someone to help me out. xD

I'm getting the PS3 Dark Edition starter pack and the 3DS starter pack mailed to me (so might get them a day early?), along with the Tower of Time Adventure pack.

That will honestly do me until Christmas, where I might ask for a couple of figures. Exceptions will be for buying Lightcore figures or variants, but I'm waiting this time around until prices go down. Also going to wait for the starter packs to go down in price to buy the regular figures, too.

As for the games themselves? Probably I'll play a chapter a day or so; that's how I played Giants and it was nice to savour it. I still have trophies to do on that and plenty of training up, though!
