I posted this in the Pumpkin Eye Brawl thread earlier but I'm afraid it might get lost and I see this information may be important, I had received an email from cduniverse saying Pumpkin Eye Brawl has been discontinued, I ordered mine within the hour**it was put up for preorder so I don't know what the deal is. I'm afraid that maybe it will be pulled from being released or maybe it will just be mass released into retail.

If they offered me something free I'll tell them to keep it because I would never ever receive it!

I've been doing business with cduniverse for about 10 years now and I've never had an issue with them, hopefully I can still grab me a Pumpkin Eye Brawl before they're all gone!

Did we get an official word from Activision he is real? Sounds like CD universe needs to stop bothering listing stock it won't stock.

Last I knew, Activision didn't know anything about it. And for something with a Sept. 3 release date, it'd been advertised by now (especially given there's a particularly big fan of the stuff on kotaku).

^I only heard that Activision never responded, not that they didn't know anything about it. When has Activision REALLY advertised figures? That's up to the retailers.

Cindysbeans was one of the first to post that image....no one knows if that is what it will look like. Activision keeps denying its existence by saying...""We don't have info on that, sorry! Please let us know if you have any other questions." ....BS...they do know all about it.

Activision is saying that because their support staff is NEVER told of new/pending figures. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that they are the LAST people I'd contact to know about ANYTHING skylander toy related. Sadly, I think they are telling the truth.

I can't help but laugh about the consternation seen here about whether or not there will be a "Pumpkin Eye Brawl" ....

are ya'll REALLY that eager to spend money on a goofy Skylander with a friggin' pumpkin for a head, and an otherwise all-black paint job?

I understand the "omg it's new and it could be rare!!" mentality .... sort of (not really) ... but there comes a point where the anxiety/anticipation is comical.

What's next? Grass Skirt Voodood? Birthday Clown Boomer? Teenage Mutant Ninja Warnado? Thanksgiving Turkey Bash?

I think it's a pretty interesting concept of Eye-Brawl having a pumpkin for a head. I actually thought of it a bit back than. I don't relaly have the "omg it's new and it could be rare" mentality. I just think it's pretty cool looking and sort of an interesting concept. And by the way, i'd actually buy a TMNT Warnado.

So will it still be sold in regular stores p.p

I hear you, I wouldn't say I'm out of the variant business, but most likely I am out of the variant AND regular figure business. I'm going with the Dark Starter, my son loves the game and it will be for Christmas, I think he will really like getting a "special" version. I'll also go with the Legendary versions of the figures, my son really likes those. But, I seriously doubt I'll get the regular versions of any of those. Given the choice I'll likely get a variant rather than the original, unless the variant looks bad. It has simply gotten out of hand.

I'm kind of wondering if they are going to go with a "on chip" name/coloring for variants. If they stored the color data (just color, not new textures) on the RFID instead of in-game they could make in-game variants at will. It really wouldn't take much space at all. This is what we should all fear happening, because it would result in an almost endless stream of variants.

It's sad too, cause I'd personally would've wanted to continue doing the full scale pursuit. I'll more than likely just pursue new guys only (32 chars). Probably no in game variants.

Just a word of advice, sears.com and cduniverse.com both have terrible ratings because they're terrible e-tailers. There was no way they were going to be shipping this out well in advance of any reputable e-tailers even listing it as instock. This isn't something that has been released via retailers yet. Both sites jumped the gun.

If Warnado weren't one of the Forgotten 8/Lostlanders, I would SO get one and make a TMNT Warnado, LOL! Pumpkin Eye Brawl would be easy enough, especially since his body is all black, more monotone than the real one. It just wouldn't have the Level 5/2100 gold advantage, or the "Special" tag that the real one would. THIS I am tempted to do, though I might switch the weird face for the Jack from Nightmare Before Christmas one I saw in another thread.

My order from sears was not cancelled yet. They actually processed it already and have taken the money out of my account.

I figured it was just going to be a "Special"(chase varient).....that SUCKS...oh well. Wish they added more detail to the body, and not just paint it all black...(gona have to fix that )

I contacted the seller about when he was going to have it available to ship and he said the first week of September. I guess we will see.

Sorry, no he won't. There is no "lucky", there's no "hope he does". He won't. He can't. All the in-game characters were discovered months ago, he wasn't one of them. Sorry. He's Chase only, guaranteed. If the game doesn't know how to draw him, it never can, this game doesn't get updates.

The only PHYSICAL, TECHNICAL possibility is for him to be an in-game variant in Swap Force, and I've never yet heard of them making a Chase variant in one game an In-Game variant in the next. I doubt they'd do that.

True, but we're only 2 games in to the franchise. It's too soon to start shooting down theories. Everyone immediately assumed there'd be 8 series 2 and 8 series three figures, but have ended up with only 5 series 2 and 10 series 3 (so far). There was also no chase releases for series 1/Spyro's Adventure figures by the time Giants was nearing release, so it's odd they'd do a halloween variant of an out of print character when we have an entire new cast of characters that will be out around that time. It' very unlikely, but it's also possible. We won't know till either the game/figure release of we're told more information on the matter.
