Just put below what game you would rather play because im not going to let Skylanders die that easy to a new game.

in my honest opnion I don't like the idea of Swap-Force but skylanders overall yes

Skylanders SWAP Force AND Disney Infinity.

I choose Swap Force, despite the fact I will own both.

Swap Force can last for hundreds of hours, if one were to do everything with every Skylander.

The same can be said for Infinity, but that's only if you're dabbling with the Toy Box. Common sense gamers know that gamers move from game to game like nothing. Sometimes, people trade games in as soon as 2 days later. Infinity's biggest draw is the Toy Box, but what happens when the online base dies out, because they will have moved onto GTA V, Mario 3D World, DKC: TF, Smash Bros., FF XV, Halo 5, Tales of Xillia 2, Bayonetta 2, Call of Duty 9000, Madden 1,000,000, Assassin's Creed IV, and any of the other games out there that release so often, most gamers have a backlog by default?

It becomes an expensive paperweight, because there is no reason to keep leveling your figures. There is no dedicated PVP mode to host tournaments with. Toy Box will be dead and you're stuck with 10 Playsets that costed a total of 347 dollars that are limited by who can play in them, and once they're 100% there's no reason to play them.

In other words - in my opinion - Infinity becomes useless once online dies down... and it will. It's biggest selling point will be its biggest downfall, but with Swap Force, it has an overall story to keep you going. It offers more than 2 ways to play.

I choose swap force.

I actually made an army of skylanders that will appeal to parent and child alike.
This army will be sniping out DI players and try to convince them to get skylanders instead (giants/swapforce/ both but not spyro"s adventure)

Goal: To make DI sell less at my local walmart and target

I like both, but, if I had to choose...I'd say Skylanders SWAP Force.

Gee, I wonder why they're still going to release Lone Ranger figures, then. Lone Ranger was a HUGE flop at the box-office. I guess it's because it might have been too late. They were already added to the game before the movie was released, and they didn't anticipate that it would do so poorly so they added them in before hand. ...Woops.

Plus, I think some better non-human characters could really round out DI's cast and make DI more interesting. That was kind of one thing that made Skylanders interesting to me was the ability to play as so many different and cool creatures, most of which didn't share the same species as me.

^ Lone Ranger is a new movie. Oliver and Company and the Great Mouse Detective are old ones. The two movies both did decent at the box office, but were hidden gems of Disney. Recess is a old Disney show on TV and I think Spinelli should be in it if they're putting Phineas and Ferb in it.

Infinity---it's actually new.

That probably accounts for me more closely...DI is getting the vote simply b/c the kids want TB mode. And since it's all about kids, and not adults...I apparently just need to move on to something else

You know, the only thing that would get me to really like Infinity, is a Ducktales and Darkwing Duck Playset with standalone characters from each.

a 10 hour Ducktales and Darkwing Duck game would rock.

Swap force. I feel that disney is trying to get it's grimy little hands on everything it can. i really do not want to support that. especially if it were to take skylanders with it.

I'm getting both games, despite how expensive it will be.

People really need to lay off of Infinity for "copying" Skylanders as well. It was inevitable, people! Get over it! Both games will be great.

And by the way, if Infinity eventually includes Star Wars and/or Marvel characters, it will EASILY out-sell Skylanders. A Lightsaber is already confirmed for use in the Toy Box mode...

You need to get a grip. Infinity is nothing like Swap Force/Skylanders. It has been said over and over and over again. The people that make it have said it over and over. The only thing it "rips off" is the mechanism to input content, which several other games are also doing these days (Angry Birds, Pokemon, etc.). And your YouTube video thing, that's laughable, even if that did happen you do realize that anyone can post YouTube videos, right?

Face facts, if someone comes up with a good idea, others will replicate and build upon it. This is GOOD, because the next guy finds another way to use it and so on. Innovation comes from a combination of finding new ideas AND new ways to use old ideas. Infinity is taking the idea of physical items to import them into a Minecraft/LittleBigPlanet type game.

If you choose to waste money burning toys over loyalty to a video game based on a perception you apparently completely misread then you are pathetic. It is almost as stupid as being a console fanboy.

As some people said of course, here people will choose skylanders over infinity and vice versa on the disney forum. It begin to transform as battlefield vs call of duty such delicious fighting.

I'm not interressed in disney infinity, I need structure and the toy box mode can be easily recreated with game engin like unreal, unity or crysis engin. Skylanders may in fact be a good game but the fact that you need toys to play it turn me off. It 3 years that I hovered on the franchise I think it's time to land and at least try it

The only thing they "copied" are the actual toys and the tech inside the figures. Angry Birds copied them too I'm guessing, as did Pokemon. Oh no! What a crime! #sarcasm

It is a new genre of games, where toys and video games combine. Just because Skylanders did it first, does NOT make everything which comes afterwards a copy or a crappy game. You don't know what it will be like until you actually try it!

Now enough of this which game is better crap. Just end it and grow up.

I don't like disney infinite either, but i think you guys are taking this a little too far. I mean, boycotting disney and burning the figures is a little bit extreme. Besides, if you do both, you will technically not be boycotting them

You should go burn your Wiis, Playstations, and Xboxes too because they copied the concept of gaming consoles from the old Atari and Magnavox systems.

I wish Disney luck, because if the game does well, the competition will only force Activision to improve Skylanders. If not, and Skylanders dies, my bank account will at least get a sigh of relief. I dont have any plans right now to get Infinity. The Toy Box aspect doesnt appeal to me, and thats a large portion of the game. Nor do I care to support the "blind-bag" idea for the power-ups. I might buy a figure or two for characters I like. Nothing beyond that though.

Here's a logical reason to dislike Infinity over Skylanders.

When has Disney Interactive ever made a good game, er published? Some would say Epic Mickey, and it is a good platformer, but it's critically panned. One can't say Kingdom Hearts, because last I checked, Tetsuya Nomura wasn't employeed by the "House of Mouse."

You have playsets being developed by first time game developers (or at least the first time we're hearing about them).

At least Toys For Bob has shown they can make games.

I still think that video is funny. They could have at least tried to make it look like they weren't ripping off Skylanders.
