Yeah, I don't have Voodood, but judging from his Soul Gem preview, he's pretty cool looking, and looks fun to play as.

The new guy I would... have to get a better look at to judge.

Let me just say yes he is very much indeed. The magic Skylanders needed a combo melee fighter and he is the only one they got other than Ninjini.

I think you need to have a look at Sonic, Pokemon, and Crash Bandicoot. Those two franchises had many characters vanish without explaining why they're gone. Especially Pokemon and Sonic.

That is why I never liked the original Pokemon series. I grew up with it, but even then I saw how horribly flawed it was and only started to like it more during Diamond and Pearl. As for Sonic there's too much ground to cover on that as it is.

I NEVER liked the Pokemon anime. Not even as a kid.

Also, only Spyro is actually confirmed, although Spyro was shown along with Wrecking Ball, Pop Fizz, and the new Magic Skylander on a piece of merchandise. Still, not all hope is lost for Voodood depending on the current popularity of the other characters, but I think if any of the unreposed 8 come back, it'll be Warnado. ...I know that's just a lame guess, but still.

Well if it wasn't gaurented then hot dog definetly is getting a s3 because he is in multiple pics

On my opinion i think the most likely character to have an S3 comeback is sunburn (at least what i hoped until the possibility of S3 Hot Dog (why?)) and Ghost roaster because of the renewed adventure packs, and if terrafin and Slambam make a comeback as an S3 I'm not surprised because they are the main skylanders for the adventure pack (which is currently making a comeback in SSF), however the most possible S3 repose that you said is probably true, but i think Dino-Rang and Camo still has a chance to make a comeback with Warnado because they haven't revealed all of the S3 Earth,Life,and Air Skylanders

I honestly think that scorpion is the new core earth skylander

There are 2 core for each element. I think you're right though.

Pokemon anime? I liked NT Warrior (especially the Axess sequel series) and Star Force better. A KH anime would be sweet.
Don't think Skylanders will get one any time soon though.

Impressive video, who made it? Yeah, plus it made a great manga series. One of my friends who loves KH (and got me into it) doesn't think it'd make as a good an anime just because they couldn't do a world in more than 2-4 episodes and they might botch it. But we're getting off topic.

Don't know who made it, don't know if there's more. The guy who posted it says it isn't his but nothing else.

And Rand, yeah, it's 16 new corelanders, 16 swaplanders, 16 reposes, and 8 LCs.

I don't play Skylanders, but I like the series.

In my opinion, Spyro kind of looks like the same in all three series.

Indeed. Actually, I like his almost-insectiod Skylanders design most of all, this looks pretty cool as well.

That other newlander looks like a snapping turtle of some kind.

I think I'm going to save a lot of money with this game, because I am really disliking 90% of the new character designs so far. :/

In regards to the character design, I'd agree that a lot of them look kind of lame compared to the other games. With Giants they were making the characters more kid friendly, but they still looked pretty cool and unique. Here they look OVERLY kid friendly, which is where things start to go wrong.

For me, I was on the fence about if I'd buy the swap characters or not, but from what we've seen of them so far, it's pretty safe to say I'll just stick with the core characters this time. So far the only 100% confirmed newlanders are Countdown and Roller Brawl, and I like the looks of both of them. Countdown looks kinda ridiculous, but he has a ton of potential for great gameplay gimmicks.

As for that beehive thing, that magic character, and that weird green dragon thing, I won't even think about them until we have it confirmed that they are Swappers or Core characters

I think he looks cool Dx He looks more like a traditional dragon :S

I disagree. I think they're starting to delve into more demonic looking characters. I notice quite a few of them have no iris or pupil. Compare Star Strike or the Earth Scorpion to characters like Wrecking Ball or Hot Dog.

See status quo. Spyro has to be in it atleast for now, but as you can tell without the merch showing you wouldn't have known that. They're trying to move away from using Spyro a bit.

S3 Spyro's official name is Mega Ram Spyro. (edit) should've read all the comments first, but yeah everyone should check out the game Swapforce gameplay. The graphics for Crusher looks awesome.

Longer horns and longer tail spike. While S2 Spyro focused on the Head Bash, S3 focuses on Spyro's horn charge.

Exactly, I even read on one of darks posts that their first intention was to make another Spyro game, but then it escalated to Skylanders. So Spyro was the first "Skylander".

Actually, Spyro was to be the quest giver, and there were five 'first' Skylanders. Ghost Eater (became Ghost Roaster), Cyclops Snail, Rock Dragon (became Bash), Bomb Troll (Boomer) and Fire Dragon.
Later they decided that you can't have a Spyro game where you can't play as Spyro, so Fire Dragon got changed into Spyro - hence the reason Spyro only has fire attacks in Skylanders.

S3 Stealth elf is known as "Ninja Stealth elf" in-game..

OK, then I'd assume they haven't encoded all of the names on the chip yet and assume they'll show up in game as what's on the box. Interesting marketing move for them in an effort to make these reposes more "unique"... big question now is unlocking of content for upgrading skylanders...which they safely avoided answering during E3.
