Okay, he (or she, sorry) asked if this was true or not. "Old news..." doesn't really answer that. Also, it may just be me, but I find it highly rude when someone just post "Old news..." to this kind of stuff, and nothing else. On another note, I would like to know if this is true too. Is it only the A accessories being released prior to game, or are the figures being released too?

They probably will and the link above that skylandersgaints posted has an article that confirms it.

Actually, my local Target released Granite Crusher before Giants was out (I think a week or less before the game was officially released). Was this unique to my Target, or did anyone else's do this?

Actually, the website never once said that the figures were being released. What it did say was "Turning the corner from their main display wall netted a treasure trove of information: a prototypical store display. This display held various Power A accessories we all know and love AND shots of their forth coming releases...some which will hit PRIOR to the game. These (include) some killer iPod and iPhone cases/covers and SUPER COOL display items...best I've seen to date". This is not referring to they figures, he doesn't talk about them until later on.

I think as bionicle2809 noted, SOME of the items would be released early- most likely the cases and accessories.

I'm sure some stores will probably have them out a few days early but I doubt that they'll just release figures early at all stores.

Not true--this was a thread started by Matteo and he didn't read it completely, as neither did most of our posters (me included). This is the PowerA stuff.
