Yes, but that was after E3. We didn't have any news before E3 for Giants.

You can check the changelog on the Giants topic, there was no actual news until E3 of 2012 - everything before that was speculation and rumours. They'll release information at E3, just like they did the past 2 years, I don't understand why so many people are finding this concept hard to understand.

And no, Swarm and Chill didn't come before E3 2012. They were revealed during Gamescom.

without online game play it will be a real blow... when disney do an online game, the excuse we cant do online because of the kids, don't hold up anymore.. thats for sure.

But what about people using Wiis? Wi-Fi sucks for it.

They could easily cop-out online on the Wii version - it is being ported by a separate developer

I would suggest that they could just not have online for the Wii but have it for the PS3, 360 and Wii U. The fact that SSA and Giants were developed first for the Wii and then ported made them restricted in the online area, since very few developers want to develop online games for the Wii.

The fact that they no longer have to rely on making the Wii version first and then porting it to other consoles means they can do whatever they want with the other versions (which is why the shoulder buttons now have their own independent actions), that could even include adding online features.

at this point in time why should they make a wii version at all?.. they will just make it for the wii-u and the online is no problem at all... the old wii have been retired by now i am sure of....

i wanna get this for ps3 since its higher quality

I thought I heard someone say in an interview brand new lightcores, possibly meaning LCs might not always be characters that got other forms like s3, or maybe brand new characters exclusive to LC.

back to topic: s3 hot dog?explaing?

^ The cover of the upcoming Skylanders novel that Aura posted consists of a new Hotdog artwork that could be a new figure version of him in Swap Force. It shows him with a flaming bone in his mouth so people believe that it could be a Series 3 pose or Lightcore version.

Concept artists are paid a lot of money (more than engineers, in most cases) and they most likely wouldn't show a picture like that unless it contained some importance.
