i agree centaur would be awesome but problem with dragons is that if you have the legs as the lower part then the 2 legged character would look weird!

that's the thing. they think if any swap force has a different body shape than the others, the swap will "look weird". thats why we are blessed with the power of imagination.

ya watch these videos and the 2013 toy fair one there different they say the same thing but the game-play is different we get to see more of there attacks like wash bucklers charge up sword and the way some of the skylanders jump like roller brawl and wash buckler unlike the 2013 toy fair video

That "tomboy" shade sounded harsher than I meant it, however I have no problem with it and that wasn't my point. FYI, Tomboys aren't automatically trans*. The majority of tomboys identify as being female (and heterosexual for that matter) and so are considered cisgendered. So keep your "unreal" comment to yourself.

MY POINT WAS THIS: In response to people saying there won't be any female Swap 'landers "for obvious reasons", I wanted to see a really feminine Swap 'lander because it would be awesome. The only "obvious reason" there would be for no female is because they would consider swapper her halves as a sex change.

there was a very little glimpse of hope for that to happen, if i got it for cheap like in 2016 and all have forgotten about it.... but now that is gone for sure.

Considering that children have mixed dolls on purpose (see Toy Story), who cares if they mix genders when they swap?? I really don't see this as a problem. If they can make them all look cool regardless of which parts they have, then it doesn't matter. As to the "tomboy" comment, I think they appear "tomboy" because societies don't embrace the idea of a female fighting as natural, so we're often seen as a "tomboy" or worse discriminating comments. It's not fair really. We're targetted more often as potential victoms but if we fight back...ooooo...so baaadd!! I know some women who have dnd characters dressed in barbie pink, acting cutesy, and then when combat starts, kicking the ever-loving outta anything in their way! If it might make people feel better, they could vary the look of the females so they are more diverse visually, but you just know how that'll go. They'll make them each cheesy stereotypes that offend everyone and then go back to what they have now. When I see Sprocket, I see an engineer. Chill? A warrior. Ninjini is a ninja, so she's got the garb and weapons for it. Whilrwind is female, and while I think she's very feminine (as herself), she doesn't have all the stereotypes shoved on her either. You can enjoy them as they are, and hey, they happen to be girls. It's nice imo. They're individual, and (for me) believeable as a fighting force against evil. That's all that really matters anyway.

On another note, does Series 3 Stealth Elf seem to be cosplaying as a Klingon to you?? Those look like Gold Batlefs (spelling??), ad I still recall Worf from Next Generation wearing all black for that one episode.

Yes! We need a Klingon skylander. Maybe a Ferangi too. Back on topic, I think Skylanders has done a good job of avoiding stereotypes. Stealth Elf is a ninja and one of the best characters in the game, Whirlwind is pretty feminine but can still hold her own and appeals to Psychedelic fans, etc. Just like the above poster said. I personally am lacking a female character for my collection, my brother tends to call them, but Roller brawl (correct?) looks great.

That was a huge thing that annoyed me and the main reason I threw shade at "tomboy" but that was a different conversation than what I was trying to get across with that poster. The upsetting fact is that any being remotely feminine (be it female or, especially, male) are still considered weak and not appropriate for fighting/action games unless they are overly sexualized. It's completely unfair, as you have said, and I don't appreciate it one bit. Sure, combat would render dresses, bikinis and high heels to not be appropriate fighting attire but there are women who can do it and "hold their own" being their fabulously feminine self. But, as I said before, that is another discussion all together.

The only humanoid-esque Skylander remotely feminine is Hex and she is essentially a witch. So far, Roller Brawl seems to be in the middle, not too Tomboy but not a "girlie-girl", but why not a feminine Swap 'lander?

I don't think there will be a female swapper. It would be cool if there was.

im going to focus on the two groups here, pro female swap (for "equality", and righteousness"), and anti-female (for "gender confusion"). Pro wants a female, developers make female, anti gets mad. anti wants either/or gender, no inbetween. Pro gets mad.

In the end, the developers do what they want and hope we stop complaining. on a side note, i honestly see NOTHING wrong with the female characters we have now. it seems sometimes people try too hard and look too far into things. after every serious aspect, its all just a game.

I was with you for the first two characters but I would just like to say that I never implied there anything "wrong" with the female characters I called out as being tomboys. However, I was saying that they still conform to the patriarchal idea that masculine are the ideal protectors. I get what you're saying, and I have said "it's just a game many times before" but it is still important culturally. Kids as young as 3 play these games and so a more forward thinking ideology could be brought out more.

The only reason I said that was because we weren't talking about hermaphrodites at all. Having both male/female genitalia is not the same thing as being trans* by definition.
