Ninth Swap Force Character reveal! (sort of) [CLOSED]

Looks like the legs have blue pants with some sort of pattern on.

EDIT: Looks like not patterns but FEATHERS sticking out of the pants!

I'd say he's a speed type, seeing as how we was briefly shown with Freeze Blade's upper half grinding on a train track.

^ That's a good point, and you might be right =). Though, I kind of wish that it isn't because we already have two Speed types. Like you mentioned before, it could be a Grinding type because in the same video, it looks like Freeze Blade is seen grinding with it.

It might be interesting if it were a Jump type that can get to special high inclined areas that only Jump types can reach. It's probably not going to be a Jump type, but hopefully it will be something new and creative with added gameplay bonuses.

I hadn't thought of that. You're right, it can't be speed, we already have two. Grinding, or Jumping are good guesses. A while back, some interview named all the movement types except one, he did confirm digging, and I think he confirmed jumping but I can't remember. What else do chickens/birds do? Unless... he's a flight type? But seeing him go on rails (UNLESS... maybe that wasn't him, as it would seem only Speed would do grinding that is a possibility), I doubt it. Wonder if multiple non-swap characters can go on rails or something.
UPDATE: Low res snapshot [User Posted Image] wait... that ain't freeze (blade), that's Night (shift)! But those do look like the same legs if you star long enough: yellow/cream-colored, little white bits at the end. They could be different legs, but I think they're the same.

So maybe all characters can grind, I doubt there's a whole grinding movement class. Unless jumping or some non-speed kind can do it.

If it's not a bird, it could be other types than air. or if it was an ostrich with a jetpack (flying type), it might be tech. if it's a raptor, it might be earth

They evolved from reptiles? They have completely different bone structures, feathers and scales are different on fundamental levels, and plus they have different digestive systems. The only evidence for that theory is in part due to certain fossils, but even those have some problems, as more modern birds have been found in layers where only "proto-birds" should be. Also, there has yet to be a perfect fossil of a dino with what are certainly feathers. Also in terms of molecular biology, they are extremely different...

anyway back on topic, I think it's an ostrich. Early on in the Post discovered info thread, there's this image, posted by Spyroflame0487 [User Posted Image] shows some more angles of the character

Nice screen shots there, you can definitely tell that it's the same Swaplander on both of them.
Spoilered due to it being off topic:
When I was very young, I remember that a paleontologist named Jack Horner told me about a theory of Dinosaurs evolving into birds (he actually might have been one of the first to come up with the theory, or at least one who knows a great deal about it). He was talking about dinosaurs evolving into birds, but what I'm talking about is the relationship between reptiles (modern) and birds. Feathers are modified scales (the fact is in the genetic code and even seen in early embryonic development). A chick embryo actually contains many reptile features and genes while its in its embryonic state, but then loses most of them as it developed and hatches.

Neat fact, crocodiles are the closest living relatives to birds because they are the only known survivors of the Archosauria group.

Sorry if I sound like I'm being rude, I'm not trying to be; this is mainly just clearing up what I meant earlier because I was pretty vague so it probably didn't make sense.

I would assume that even in the video, they tried not to pair the same elements together, so I'd think that probably rules out tech and undead.

I'd wager they'll stock this one in Earth. No real reason, just a hunch. If all characters have special jumping animations, you can see this chickenlander does a flip when it jumps.

That could potentially lead to its name.

The fact that they haven't revealed an air or earth lander does lend credence to that theory. Of course, it's possible he hasn't been fully designed. As he has blue pants, that would seem to go with Air (I'd say water but they already have unveiled all the water types).
