Great.... 16 Swap Force characters... 16 NEW Skylanders.... I was still debating on buying the reposes this time around. Now there are confirmed Adventure Packs and Battle Packs. Given there is a chance that new characters will be packaged with the various packs...

Parents out there concerned that the new jumping mechanic will make the game too hard for kids can allay those fears. "There is collision in the game to help the younger audience," Chris tells us. "The characters don't get hurt if they fall off a path, they simply reset back on the path. The game is very forgiving with kids in mind."

^ I took this from that article....and all i can say is WOW! Parents are worried jumping will make the game harder?? What did us 90's kids do then? Our games must have been impossible to play. Our parents should have gone after game companies because platforming jumping games actually posed a challenge (sarcasm!)

disappointed at the length of the game, but if it has a fully fleshed out end game like giants, ill be happy (as it still gave me a lot more to do then SSA in the end)

and @ tupelo - couldnt agree more, "back in my day" games were hard, they were made to be hard, hell look at the original mario series.
hopefully the higher difficulties will add in damage from falling off obsticles etc.

about time. at least this news makes up for no online and 2 player max. now curious as to how many adventure packs will be released for extended gameplay. I cud careless for battle packs since there no online mode available.

NOW, in saying that, "forgiving"? This system better be the same as the 3DS version where you fall and go back on the path but still lose health.

I wonder how they'll handle heroic challenges since they'll be jumping now. Many of the SSA and then carried forward for SG would be a cake walk if you could just jump over some of those barriers.

Well only 16 older Skylanders are returning so those are the only ones that become a potential problem. Do any of the Skylanders from the remaining 8 not included in Giants have challenges that involve jumping? What about the any of the characters added in Giants? I could see this actually determine what characters might return with reposes. Characters that had challenges where jumping might negate the point of it, might not get reposed this time around.

true, but thats easily stopped by either disabling jumping in those challenges, or adding a bunch of invisible walls to stop you from skipping past areas.

I don't give a targ's claw about online multiplayer, as my wii can't go online (as it was bought in China). Do hope that there is damage for missing a jump in harder difficulties.
