Skylander replacement process [CLOSED]

My Punch Pop Fizz stopped working, and I was curious, could someone who has had a Skylander replaced walk me through the process of getting a new one?
I've already sent the Return claim via the Support site, is there anything else I need to do?

Not at all. Just Wait about 5 days, just check the status of the return each day. It will arrive by UPS.

Okay, sounds good. Will they send an email when they update the status of the return?

I guess this is as good a time as any to work on my normal Pop Fizz, Jekyll.

It took my Voodood 3 weeks to get a replacement.

Greetings Orohu,

Returing your warranty claim may take 7-10 business days if you're in the States and 10-15 business days if you're overseas. I don't believe Punch Pop Fizz is a Skylander we need to be returned which would make the turn around time a bit quicker. If you can provide the Warranty number or RMA/Case number, I can check the status for you.

Thanks for the information, everyone! I'll look forward to when I receive him in the mail.

A neat little gem I found: he's still actively loaded on my 3DS version's save file right now, so I'll be able to play as him for a little while longer, even without the figure working.

^Except when you "scan" the new Punch into your 3DS game it will see the new one as a duplicate toy and will offer to overwrite the new LV1 data from the toy rather than update the toy with your "play save" for Punch

If you are getting "A toy on the Portal of Power has a problem" message when you put your skylander on portal, then try this first before trying to replace the toy:

A Toy on the Portal of Power Has a Problem article from Activision's support site.

Make sure that you follow instructions literally - repeating steps 5 and 6 twice is required. It helped me to force my Flameslinger to work again. Of course I lost all the progress on him but now he is working smilie

Here are the instructions from this support article:

If you are getting an error that says “A toy on the Portal of Power has a problem”, follow these steps to recover your broken toy.

1. Keep the broken Skylander on the Portal of Power and open the Pause Menu
2. Return to the Main Menu
3. Open Settings
4. Select General
5. Select Reset Broken Toys
6. Select Yes when you are asked to reset the Skylander
7. Repeat Steps 5 and 6 (this is important!)
8. Keep the Skylander that was reset on the Portal of Power and start a game in Story Mode

Your Skylander will now work again!

If the screen turns black after returning to the game, it probably means you didn't repeat Steps 5 and 6 above. We told you it was important!

If the game won't load and you are only seeing an Elemental icon on the screen, remove the Skylander from the Portal of Power, put it back on the portal, and retry Steps 1 through 8 above.

It would appear so, but there are a few restrictions I see.
1. You need to be able to see the figure's base, so you can get the Product ID
2. If it's a Legendary Skylander, Portal, or Game Disc, they need you to send your product in before they replace it.

I just received my Punch Pop Fizz today in the mail, and he looks pretty good. smilie
I don't have the time to try him right this instant, though. I can post the two of them side by side later, if anyone is interested.

I would just like to add the instructions for a "toy not working on the portal of power" worked like a charm for me with my Ghost Roaster and Double Trouble S1. My first attempt with Ghost Roaster caused the game to not load properly (black screen with nothing) so I exited out and reloaded the save and BAM Ghost Roaster appeared. This was on a Xbox 360 by the way.

I am glad to hear that Activision is being pretty good about the replacement program they have in place for the ones that can not be fixed in this manner.

Lately I haven't been able to replace my skylanders online, it tells me the model # is incorrect, so I apply for an email and a call response, why aren't model #'s working anymore?
