This is why I like cats better. They tend to not do as stupid of things as dogs do. I like all kinds of animals, but dogs always remind me of things with no brains. You never have to work for their respect, unlike cats.

My dog is itsy bitsy, and he cant fit drobots head inside his mouth. No worries here.

Yea, not the first toy they have lost to that dog. At this point, with how rare he is I don't think I will be replacing him anytime soon. Maybe when I trip over them @ the store.

Ah. This is why enjoy my pets.... All 26 of them. They don't chew up my stuff, pee or crap in the floor, don't bark at every little thing. While everyone else deals with all that, I will sit back and enjoy my tarantulas.

I have two dogs who are both collie mixes and they don't chew up anything that doesn't belong to them. My daughter (she's only 18 months old) plays with her toys and my series 1 skylanders all over my living room floor and nothing's been chewed up yet. I taught my dogs as pups the difference between their chew toys and a kids toy. My cat has destroyed far more things in my house then both my dogs combined.

So sorry about thumpy. I agree with GM, Cats > Dogs. (I'm also okay with Chickens.)

But I have a poodle/chihuahua mix and a jack russel terrier/chihuahua mix. Good dogs. (But JRT/CHI is a vicious wreck.)

He's DESTROYED my dad's hands. He hasn't gone near the skylanders yet. YET.

I want to ry negative reinforcement on him with a source of water (a squirt gun I got at the air fitted up with a 2 liter bottle of water) to get that mouth under control.

And, WORST news. I moved up from cardboard boxes to some plastic containers. However, they are running out of room, and if they announce 'Landers 3 I'm SCREWED. I've wanted a shelf, but the puppy is getting in the way of that. Maybe put them inside a Entertainment Center.

WoW! The dog even ate the anchor! I guess the dog didn't get the memo, "Hail to the whale!" I have my skylanders sitting on a shelf at the moment but have been looking for something to be able to display them in but what I have in mind is too expensive. I have all my S1 figures in a Pelican case. I cut and molded the egg crate foam inside to fit the skylanders in and keep them in place. It works great! I have two levels in it and it fits everything just right, even the portal. Still, it would be nice to have them displayed somewhere but it really keeps them protected and works great when I go on a trip.

My dog (miniature poodle) never ever chewed anything that wasn't hers, but my little cockatiel's beak is an unending force of destruction.
Needless to say I could only trust my toys around my poodle.

Dog boundary repellent or bitter apple spray would stop your dog chewing on Skylander figures.

Activision Support is your friend. Call them and tell them, they'll ask for the model number, the description why, and they'll either make you send it back or a free replacement.

train your dog not to chew. My dog has never chewed up anything that wasnt hers...and gamemaster....cats are boring! dogs are the best.

thanks for the advice on pet ownership. If i needed it, i would have asked for it. its the dog that destroys things, the other 3 dogs behave perfectly. Cats suck.

Can someone pm me who has a thump back so I can confirm the model number? I went to the activision website and when I put in the model #, nothing happens. I cant call them as they dont open for phone support until 2 pm (11 a pacific).

If you want a pet that has contempt for you, that's your choice, but dogs are definitely better, since I'd rather not have a dysfunctional relationship with my pet. Not to mention I prefer a pet that actually has the ability to reason.
