^Thank you for sharing the code, I can now afford an extra skylander along with Giants.

Tesco also have a code, but this time for 15% off any order over £25 on Tesco Ent (So may be useful for other orders from them) T15OFF25, will probly last til the end of the month. Can be used on anything... Plus you get the clubcard points, so win-win

Also, they have Giants listed for the higher prices (ie 45/50), so that's not so good, but thought it worth sharing the other code (cause I'm sure most of the UK peeps will be interested in buying other stuff as well)

As mentioned over in the UK Skylanders Hunters thread, I called TRU Collier's Wood to ask a few Giants questions.

Booster Packs are all £39.97 (I'll add that to the top post in a mo') and Starter packs will be around the £49-59 mark.

There is no known pre-order bonus with the exception of if the price is higher that at launch than what you pre-ordered you will get a refund/discount on the price (only if you pre-order at the store).

There was no known Launch Party at this point in time.

Pre-ordering from a Brick and Mortar TRU store allows that store to get more priority on stock when the figures get released, so good all 'round.

There WILL be TRU Exclusives (groan if I have to deal with anyone other than Craig), but it's unknown what they will be at this time.

Personally dreading preorder bonuses. It's why I've held off. There isnt a local TRU to me so I kind of hope they dont have a bonus.

I'm holding off pre-orders too, for the same reason as IAmMarti. If I remember, Game had their bonus last moment.

And i'm holding off for that reason to- Dont want to miss out on an exclusive! I'm saving up 50£ a month for this and the pokemon game coming out in october Should have enough money for both plus a few figures

I would suggest changing this to a pre-order list for all regions, but I'm too lazy to help so I won't. ;P

I might take advantage of that Sainsburys pre-order and cancel if either a better incentive comes OR if you can't get the starter Skylanders outside of the starter packs (the new guys; don't really care about Cynder).

I'll be pretty annoyed if we don't get a pre-order bonus. Recently, bonuses in the UK have been pretty lackluster. Makes me just want to order from the US anyway.

I think I'll do what I did with SSA... I bought the figures first then bought that game pack when it was a lot cheaper. I had like 15/18 Skylanders then I bought the game at about 38.00 or something like that

Pre-ordered the PS3 booster on Sainsbury's. £31.99, not bad :3

Though I should have checked as I didn't know that the booster only came with Treerex :/ not that I mind as I'll probably get the full starter set for the 3DS to get Punch Pop Fizz anyway.

I hope to spend less this time around as they will be available more readily, assuming Activision have learnt their lesson.

I know it has a thread, but I just went to pre-order the Wii U at Gamestation, i asked about giants and he said they were getting something special in as a bonus

The Gamestation i pre-ordered in was in Bath, you have to put down a £20 Deposit

Just an update from my visit to Gamestation Eltham. I asked to preorder the 3DS Starter Pack (emphasising the starter, not booster). This time I happened to have the manager who told me he only had details for Booster packs (on all platforms). He even opened his "Big Book of Future Releases" and only Booster packs were listed. He didn't know anything else about Starter packs and stated that "Activision haven't sent us any other details".

Not much news but oh well

Just seen tweets from various GAME stores. The starter pack has a glow in the dark portal and Dark Cynder character. I thought it was a regular portal and reposed Cynder. I'm really not liking the way Activision are setting out their stall this time out to try and tempt you buy things you've already got and don't need (like a new Portal). Makes being a parent harder.

...I'll be going into Gamestation (Boston) later(for the Pokemon event xD), so if you guys want, I'll ask whilst I'm there.

If you can that would be great. All we know so far is that you can put a £5 deposit down to preorder the starter pack at Game.

The pack has some exclusives of some sort which seem to be a Glow in the Dark portal and either Dark Cynder or a Glow in the Dark Cynder.

Things I'd like you to find out (if you can)

1) What is the Cynder model that comes with it? (Glow in the Dark or Dark Cynder)
2) Is it definitely a Glow in the Dark portal?
3) How much will it be at launch?

EDIT: I just realised that if Game do have an exclusive Cynder variant in their starter set then I won't be getting two of the same Cynder models at launch. Woop Woop. I'll still be stuck with three Tree Rex's though. Ugh.(I plan on getting the Xbox 360 starter set, a 3DS starter set for my GF and a 3DS booster pack for me)

the manager confirmed that they will have an exclusive starter pack with a glow in the dark portal and glow in the dark cynder (he confirmed that cynder is definitely GLOW IN THE DARK and not just dark)

The first Gamestation I went to today stated they have an exclusive Glowing Portal and a Giant Cynder. The second Gamestation confirmed what was mentioned above (GITD Portal). I got to see their new release list and it stated "Cynder (" but the rest of the text was cut off the page. Gamestations will get some leaflets and more information on this during the week.

i went into my local gamestation this afternoon. the person who served me showed me the printout from head office.

after seeing it in writing with my own eyes i can confirm that gamestation starter packs for the ps3, wii and xbox will include a glow in the dark portal and a glow in the dark series 2 cynder.

head office have not provided information on what the launch price will be to their outlets.

Not to start an argument but I saw the sheet myself and it doesn't confirm a Glow in the dark Cynder. It is however implied but not actually written. I left without preordering awaiting further details on this.

The sheet reads "... a glow in the dark portal and Cynder". It does not specifically state that it will be a Glow in the Dark Cynder but you can infer it from the sheet.

I hope this is GAME too as I will probably be buying through them.

We will just have to wait and see what comes out of this GITD preorder exclusiveness. Let's be patient for now

@Eruptor1999: As per my last check Game/Gamestation don't have Starter prices available yet. There are prices from two other online stores listed in the top post, that should give you a ball park range

Darn - I wasn't planning on getting the PS3 starter. I was going to end up with two Treerex anyway but I was aiming to avoid two Cynders and two portals... blech.
