I know why I play skylanders and that is because Spyro is in it but I also like collecting the figs but why do you play it

Pretty much yeah. The game's not really worth it otherwise. i have plenty of much better games in my collection.

I probably wouldn't have bought it if Spyro wasn't in it.

I probably wouldn't have bought the game either if Spyro wasn't in it. However, he is a character that I don't use very often.

I got interested in it because of Spyro (and all of those kids hating on him because of his design) but I feel there's plenty more good to the game than JUST Spyro..

Nope, I play it because I enjoy it.

Honestly, the big draw for me was Spyro. After seeing that he'd be accompanied by other characters I was thinking it'd be like Year of the Dragon but it turned out to be pretty fun on its own.

Without a icon like Spyro though, i'd have to question if it'd be as popular as it is.

I dislike Spyro in general. I play it because I lurve Glumshanks. Because of him, I can overlook the Spyro-ness part.

NOPE! Infact, despite owning the first 3 Spyro games, I have never played the first one long enough for it to hold my interest.

I bought this game, because of its concept. Spyro is an afterthought to me with this game. He's just another Skylander.

I agree with GM. I was intrigued with the concept, and my son liked the game, so that got me into the game.

I would've gotten it regardless to be honest. The concept is what intrigued me the most, not the fact that spyro was in it.

The concept of the toys and portal but having a well known iconic character in it made me curious also.

However I also happen to think that Spyro is cool and had this been done with another franchise like maybe Sonic or Mario then I might not be as interested.

Exactly. I would have bought into this, even if it didn't have Spyro in it.

I honestly IGNORED the game for several months because Spyro was billed as the main character. I know it's blasphemous , but he and his prior games never really caught my interest.

It was only after learning that the game could be played without ever even using Spyro that the double features of a "catch 'em all" figure game combined with Gauntlet Legend-lite gameplay got me interested.


Personally, I think there should be thirty-two different subtitle screens for the game depending on which Skylander you use the most. "Skylanders: Hex's Adventure" has a nice ring to it.

Spyro gave me enough faith that the game wouldn't be horrible to go ahead and give it a try, but once we had it, it was the RPG elements and concept that kept us going. Spyro himself is barely ever on the portal.

If it weren't for the link to the Spyro franchise, I wouldn't have found it or bought it. Now that it is its own series - no. I still play it because I actually enjoyed the game and still occasionally buy characters to stretch out my game play.

The reason I don't play it is because of spyro being in it. They ruined him. I don't really like the concept or price either.
