This is a legitimate question, but it didn't need to be directed at one individual. Anyone can give opinions on this topic.

I'm honored that you would select me in asking.

My favorite three Skylanders, based on design and personality (what personality they have ingame), are -

- Terrafin
- Ghost Roaster
- Trigger Happy

However, if you're wanting to know which character is overpowered, without being cheap in the process, I would say Camo down the Melon Master path.

There are strategies you can use in PVP, which I think would be beneficial.

Having Melon Fortress, not only allows you to hide in melons, but let's say you want to get out from there and use the melons as sort of a defensive barrier - or you simply want to move into a different position in order to just switch up on your foe (PVP) - then you just push the melons from the side that is opposite of your foe. Let's say said foe doesn't mind eating the damage, or thinks it's only a barrier and walks toward it, then you just let go of the B button (C on Wii; O on PS3), and said foe will eat potentially 2 melons for 60-90 damage per melon.

His Sun Burst already does decent damage after buying Searing Sun Blast, as does his Firecracker Vine. Both can be used inside the Melon Fortress. Another thing good about Camo, is you can hold A to make three of his Sun Burst shots form a shield around him. After all 3 shots surround him, he regains 5 HP per second, until the field disappears.

Camo is just an absolute beast in this game, and I can only see him being even more of a beast when he has gone through all 32 Heroics, plus add a hat that compensates for whichever stat is lowest out of speed or armor, and you got yourself a true powerhouse in a non-cheating manner.

Thanks again for asking me.

Very true, but if anyone knows the pros/cons of upgrade paths, I'd actually kinda lean towards GM's opinion, or anyone else who did both paths. Lots of ppl take the "easy path" example - Gill Grunt. (I was one of them) Picked the harpoon path.... Dead wrong. N for those that dont want to spend the time (again me) going down every path, I'd take the advise of someone I knew who tried each path.

Tashiji really knows his stuff in the area of gameplay. When I need to know what path to choose for a certain character I always seek out his opinion first. GM78 is a close second though. Both provide extremely valuable info.

I would have said to ask Tashiji or, even better, ask the question in the official thread that is stickied at the top of the forum, where most of the Skylander paths have been recommended and detailed.

I guess that's why topic creator asked me.

While others can offer advice about a particular path, I can offer my advice of both paths, since I have each character down both paths.

That's my guess, anyhow. I am thinking about making a topic, or adding my voice to the upgrade topic, where I do an analysis of both paths for each character. It would take a while, though.

I have to thank Activision and TFB for making me quit the hunt, seeing as how impossible it is to find variants, they killed whatever buzz I had left in trying. I know lots are up on Ebay now. But, do to the killed buzz, it's like I don't even care to check. So, now my focus has shifted back to writing my scripts and finishing Xenoblade (the best RPG humanly imaginable).

It's sad, really. I wish TFB/Activision would take a que from Hasbro, and release their variants in more of an ample supply. Hasbro variants for Marvel Universe are obscure, but easier to find. I doubt they will, however. Acti/TFB not only saved me a lot of money on gas and buying them, but they managed to get me in the mindset of thinking "I really don't give a rats *** if I find them or not."

Gonna test that theory vs Stealth Elf.
