really it is. you just need to use some items:
- anvil rain: simply great. it will hit only trolls and have a long duration. you can use it for like half of the challenge
- darklight crypt, pirate seas (the ship), empire of ice and dragons' peak. with these 4 you will surely win. they create a big aoe attack which kill only trolls. use one for every paint after anvil rain
and if these aren't enough
- ghost swords. they attack only trolls but, sadly, while doing it they also break vases. however, i noticed that they don't break paintings. so if you are using problematic characters like boomer and have time to waste you can use them

there's also sparx, but i haven't tried him yet. i think he will kill only trolls without hitting any vase.

I know I may well be alone in saying this, but I personally view using those as cheating. I'm not gonna judge others for using them of course, but I don't feel right using them to beat challenges if I can alternatively utilize just my skills to complete a challenge.

Wait, I didn't know you could use items in Heroic Challenges. (I play the Xbox 360 version)

well sorry to hurt fair gamers by posting this but a lot of people are complaining about this challenge so i tried to help them

I didn't know you could use items in challenges; kinda takes away from it, but cool for those having problems!

I couldn't do it with any items because you can't walk anyware because of his stupid clouds.

i don't see how this challenge is hard in general i have done it for 30 of my skylanders all while they were at lvl 10 and fully upgraded this challenge just takes alot of patience i think there was only 3 times where i had to do the challenge a second time cause of my own mistakes during it. Also i didnt use items

^ I agree. This challenge is easy. The one that is hard is the purple chompie challenge, especially with a character like Sunburn who has a flamethrower that is not direct (it can hit many things at once)

Weird, I view Drobot's challenge as a piece of cake, with every character; even Siren Griffon Sonic Boom; I kited and powered up, then destroyed a bunch of greens at once at the end. Double Trouble's challenge causes me more pain, especially with Sonic Boom. =P

@voodude: Please, don't misunderstand. I'm not judging you or anyone who uses items to pass challenges. I'm just saying it's not for me is all. For me, a challenge is supposed to be challenging, not impossible, but at least moderately challenging ...and I've already easily beat Double Trouble's challenge a few times today with low level characters, so I know it can be done. It just takes a more cautious approach instead of typical run and gun.

well in this case i think it can't go worse and using items will only help.
while some people may like to do challenging challenges, some may not like to have to reset their boomer just for increased speed

I have yet to use any items during a challenge and I never will.
