was so happy yesterday, my PS3 glitched so I lost all sound in skylanders and it would skipped all the text dialogue.Went on a mad spree with the heroic challenges, they go so much faster without cali's little beginning and end speeches. Got all 34 characters maxed out with a third of the time taken off. It was such a sweet relief

lol i don't understand why the stupid cali's dialogue isn't skippable...

There are a lot of things that should be made skipable... like when the game has to show you where the key and doors are, or showing you every spell punk in that stupid 'spell punked' challenge. My PS3 glitches like that a lot... it makes tearing up challenges a lot faster

Aren't all these things skipable on the Wii?

No just normal cutscenes. I have the wii.

On the wii you can skip some things, including Cali's exposition, by pressing "C"

Hmmm, if they are skipable on the Wii, I wonder if there is a way to skip them on the PS3... Usually O is the skip button, but there is always a prompt if you can. Maybe some other button on the PS3. What does the C button normally do during gameplay, or does it have the unique function of skipping dialogue/Cutscene stuff?

You can skip Cali's speech prior to the challenge, but not afterward. I believe that is what the OP is referring to.

If you hold X on the PS3 it speeds the text up and cuts the dialogue short... it's not as good as skipping but it can cut down the time quite a lot.

Normally, I haven't found a way to skip Cali's talk before or after, just hold the X(ps3) or the B (360) to make her talk faster, but the glitch was completely skipping everybody's dialogue without prompt, even flynn's, the kid, abro, etc. The dialogue box would pop up for a split second and then cut. So all the heroic challenges were basically starting automatically with 3 2 1. The endings were cut too, it was nice

I had that happen to me too but I was worried that it was indicative of a more serious problem so I quit the game, restarted my console and all the sounds came back...

I was too worried to take advantage of it.

Ive had the sound cut a few times in the levels before hand and ive never seen any lastin effects both on the 360 and ps3, so my assuption is its just a typical game glitch

THE DIALOUGE IS SKIPABLE!! EVEN KAOS' SPEECHES! (PS3 ONLY) just hold down the O button as soon as they start talking then it skips the dialouge!

yes in the cutscenes, particularly battles against Kaos, but i havent tried against cali and such i shall attempt next time i play

I WISH that would happen to mine. Other than leveling up new characters, I have been working exclusively on the challenges! She drives me nuts! I can skip the little stuff in a level, but not her! Also (on a side note) can't skip the baker in the beginning of the DLC level. Start that one up, then go make a sandwich!

The C button is for talking to people and activating items such as cannons, switches, and so on. Yes, the C button allows you to skip virtually everything in the game. I recently started a brand new game save and was able to skip every single bit of dialogue and video, this includes the "show you the keys/doors/enemies/etc" moments.

^ A strange look for finding a video game character in a kid's game to be "hot". I think we've all been there at some point. I remember oggling Lara Croft back in the day...and that's the reason I only make female characters when I play games...so I can stare at someone pretty vs some big beefy dude for 85 levels.

It is in the Wii version. PC/PS3/360, however, isn't.

I am no stranger to finding characters in kid's shows or video games to be "hot", but Cali is not even remotely attractive. This is from the guy who had a crush on the hippo from Backyardigans.

I've had the glitch happen twice both having to deal with Lair of Kaos level. Ill take characters through on gem runs and right before the 1st spinning blade i will walk into one of the side areas that drop the gate right where the two eurptor looking fire eneimes then i will hit start go to level select and choose lair of kaos again. after doing that a few times, if the glitch happens the music and the sound effects from characters and enemies starts fritzen then cuts completely out then the dialogue all starts manually skipping itself
