I'm sure most of you figured out early that the Adventure pack levels are not just levels but actually super-powerful-once-per-level-doom-spells. I mean I used all four in the final fight with Kaos and he was dead....WTF. I can't believe I've been playing this game for this long and never figured that out lol....anyone else not know this?

I did not know that either LOL.

They do crazy amounts of damage....try it on the minion waves during the last fight with Kaos....what ever he's summoned will just die...lol.

That is EXTREMELY weird. I would never have thought to do that in a million years.

lol I know right. The only reason I figured it out was because I left Dragon's Peak on the portal when I was leveling Sunburn on the last stage for exp. and $ and it's kept doing this "Rain of Fire" type spell every time so I took it off the portal and put it on at a later stage in the level and BOOM, it worked and cleared the screen of baddies.

I knew but it was a more recent thing I found out haha.

I always thought they were worthless after you had the portal scan the level so I simply stored them and never looked back...thank God I was lazy about putting D.P. away lol. Not that you really need the extra power but it's there all the same.

I googled their uses online and figured it out shortly after I purchased the packs. I wish the packs came with a little description of what the item does in game.

Well since they gave you two additional items that functioned like temp. spells I never would have guessed that the level itself was a spell too...go figure.

strange... one time i used one (the crypt) against a boss and it didn't work

Don't think it works on bosses. It would wipe them in a second.

EDIT: Well, at least on the part where all three appear at once. It does 999 damage.

wow, like the OP I had no clue this existed. My questions is though, would using these count towards the 'beat kaos without losing/changing your skylander' trophy... I have only really tried for this once, and it was back before I had all the heroic challenges done on any of my Skylanders.

It works against Kaos. I think it caps the damage he can receive between phases. I just did it on the last fight. I did normal damage until the second wave of minion spawns. Then I just proceeded to use the super-powerful-once-per-level-doom-spells (heh heh heh) and they took him down. I didn't do any other damage other then from the spells. So it does work I just think he's damage capped between phases.

I saw a 999 damage! LOL I tried it when 3 of the evil skylanders were summoned. It knocked out 2 and I think flameslinger was too far away or was off screen.

It doesn't impact the achievement/trophy! Just did it

I dont think anyone really knew that, I'm too lazy to run through a level so I youtubed just about everthing and no one has posted a vid on it... Easy views if someone wants to make a vid on it.

lol wow it's very useful for the very few tight spots this game has. i use it against the annoying troll tanks. i used just one of them and dropped the eternal earth source golem from full health to 0!

Wow clearly I'm not alone here. Well I'm just glad I could help. I'm also glad they have a use beyond simply unlocking the level...lol they just happen to be the most powerful items in the game.

Yep, I try not to abuse this tho. Some levels my secret treasure chest no longer works and says it ran out of power! There's no way to reset it. I fear that may happen with all the items/level attacks.

Yeah, I knew this with my first one I got. When I placed the pirate ship on the portal to unlock the area, I left it on. When I took the ship to go to the mission, at the start of the mission after the dialog when we could finally move around, the cannons nuked the screen, althouhg it didnt kill anything since there were no enemies to hit. So next time I played, I placed the ship on the portal with a bunch of enemies and the cannons went off again and killed them. I tried it with Dragons peak when I got it, and same thing, although dont think it was cannons... cant remember what it was....but it killed everything...
