I got a volcanic vault from my purchase of my Wii version from Best Buy (got the game about a month ago and it had it) but it doesnt seem to work. Am I doing something wrong? I place it on the portal and nothing happens... when I go to arena battles, nothing is there but the 4 levels that are already unlocked.... do you have to do something special to get it... Or unlock it some kind of way. I did have characters on the portal at the time. It was sealed in its little bag and looks like a small base with a gold coin like top that seems to be able to flip up, but it doesnt seem to open up all the way. It had a white piece of card board between the coin top and the base which i removed... that is it. Am I doing something wrong? I havent read anything about it and figured those that have it on this site could help out...

Is it just a arena? Does it go into a background when it's placed? OR is there a certain level to play. If you are wiling to find an answer, then at least answer all these ?'s. Or listen to someone else.

When you put the Volcanic Vault on the Portal, it unlocks the Volcanic Vault Level. It doesn't do anything else. You can get to the Volcanic Vault in the Player Vs Player Battle Mode. If it isn't unlocked, then it may be broke and you need to use the Activision Warranty Program.

There have been a few Volcanic Vault topics already, but what you need to do with it is to put it on while you're in-game. Start your saved game and while you're at the Ruins, put the Vault on your Portal. Hopefully that should do the trick!

Thanks for the response. I did search the forums about volcanic vault, but none of them were about it not working. Yes, I know its just a battle arena. It just isn't appearing when I place it on the portal or unlocking that arena. Now I did try it when I was at the battle arena screen and main menu, I will try it when I am in the single player part of the main game as suggested here. Thanks for the help, will let you know.

Is it like the adventure packs, where you just need to put it on the portal once and then you'll never need I again to access it? Hmmmm. I need to find someone who has it if that's the case. Maybe we could even have a floating Volcanic Vault that people ship around the country so people can unlock it? If anyone has a VV that they want to do this with, send me a PM. Then I'll create a separate thread to get the ball rolling.

Just so you know, the postage would be minimal for the VV. should fit fine in a regular envelope.

Yes, it's exactly like the Adventure Packs; obviously if you started a new save file, you would need to scan it again, but for the one you have, it should be fine.

Maybe someone who has a duplicate vault might be willing to help out with such a thing? I only have the one, and I'm not in the same country as you, so wouldn't be helpful from my end.

Well not exactly the same, adventure pack locations are actually useful after you've unlocked them... afaik VV doesn't do anything like the location piece special attacks.

The battle arenas aren't attached to a save file, though, are they? Don't you choose to either go to the ruins or enter battle mode? I would think the VV arena would remain, but since I don't have it, I don't know.

You get the volcanic vault after you buy the game I think at best buy. So basically you can't get it if you have the game. (unless you are getting it for a birthday, or a differnt console.

You aren't following what I am saying. I understand that it came with Best Buy starter pack purchases.

I am saying that if someone has a VV (or an extra one), and if the VV remains available in battle mode after it is unlocked (i.e. it is NOT attached to a specific save file), that it may be a cool thing if forum members were to "share" the VV item amongst ourselves. If someone shipped it to me, for example, I would use it to unlock it on my game, then I would go to the next person on the list and mail it to them. I'm thinking it would cost 50 cents or less to mail it each time.

It gets saved onto your game until you lose the save. So if your save file corrupts you will need it again to unlock the level for PVP.

This is what it was.... When I was in the single player part of the game, I placed it on the portal and it unlocked. I was trying to do it from the battle arena screens and it didnt work. Neat map, nothing special.... just something for the collection...
