I was on the skylanders web page reading the bio's of my favorite Skylanders when I saw a werid glitch in the bios
Heres smilie 's :
Prism Break was once a fearsome rock golem who didn’t like to be disturbed. Then, an accidental cave-in left him buried underground. One hundred years later, a mining expedition digging for valuable jewels discovered him by chance with a well-placed blow from a pick axe – something Prism Break doesn’t talk about. After 100 years of solitude, he found that the pressure of the earth had transformed him emotionally as well as physically, turning his crude rocky arms into incredible gems with powerful energy. Grateful for being free of his earthly prison, Prism Break decided to put his new abilities to good use and dedicated himself to protecting Skylands.
Anyone see/seen this too?

Are you refering to the accent marks over the a, the euro symbol, the trademark symbol?

Its a copy/paste error.

Looks like whatever the site is coded in doesn't display apostrophes or semicolons.

OMG, really? Have you worked on designing web pages? No? ok, so when you type up all that carp in MS word and then want to put it into your web page editor, you copy and paste it. Upon arrival in the web page editor, it displays fine. When actually loaded up on the server, probably a linux server runnign apache, the server translates the characters. Certain symbols dont make that transition all too well.

Ever notice that when you upload a picture file that has a space in it and then view the picture and try to save it to your pc it comes back with a %20 in the name? That %20 is the code for " ".

In the above scenario, M$ Word replaces standard ASCII quote marks with special, better looking ones. As those characters are no longer standard ASCII they get interpreted differently.

It's nice how you respond to a whole topic to point a typo.

For the strange symbols, I don't see them on my side, the problem must be in your computer but I don't see what it could be.

It wasn't a typo on my part though. It was intended to stick with the theme here.

That, and Greenlantern511 has this inane habit of going off on spamming sprees with Whirlwind4594 (or whatever number it is) about other people's typing errors.

The more astute forum reader may deduce that when the word carp is used it is to clean up language otherwise not so child-friendly.

Also, it introduces an element of levity. The moral of the story is to take the extra few seconds to interpret a post before jumping on the lexical bandwagon.
