ALL of the remaining Skylanders are to be released in spring, instead of stretched out through summer.

This is from the FAQ file, which was updated today, on the Skylanders Facebook page.

Plans had to change. Demand dictates supply and vice verca. Plus, they are going to announce a sequel at E3 for sure, so they need to have the complete first product out there and sold through before the con hits or else it just won't "gel" from a synergy perspective.

It's good news definitely. I'm just hoping Activision handles the release of these figures a little better. It's driving me nuts that retail locations are always sold out. Even though it's not cheap for the company, I sometimes wonder if Activision should have just made an online store.

Its the same as the european spring. It also happens during the southern hemisphere's fall.

Yeah! I'm going to be away at a sleep-away camp for most of the summer, and I'm glad I'm not going to miss buying my Camo and Lightning Rod.

They'll probably ANNOUNCE it at E3, but it probably won't be realesed for a bit. IMO, it's too early to make a sequel for this game.

They're probably not streching it 'till september because activision is doing one of these working real hard on a super long video game or (more likely) during september they will be making a seqeul to skylanders

That is also not counting the clear blue variants that will no doubt be released at the same time. LOL They way you spend $ on this, it might be time to switch to ramen for lunch.

The money you spent on silver and gold variants alone would almost pay for the figures still to be released.

Let's add this up ... four Dragon's Peak adventure sets ($80). Gonna be two more triple packs, so four of each of those ($160). And a single pack of each ($56). So about $296 remaining, right? But you also need a gold Drill Sergeant and a gold Flameslinger, so there's another $300 to $400. Then you've got the blue ones that have yet to be released.

Might need to find a part-time job.

Really only interested in getting Dragons Peak, Warnado, and Camo. The rest of the Skylanders I could live without. Im not really looking to have all 32...though my collection says otherwise right now...

Scalpers will probably get into the shipments and buy them all before we get them...

You do realise that a lot of serious collectors are just as bad, if not worse, than the "scalpers"?

Buying four of each is potentially depriving three more people of the characters they want.

That's not entirely untrue. Vhraina and I collect together, but we wait on our boxed versions of the characters until they flood the market. One to play with is nice to have ASAP, but in the initial frenzy for new figures, I wouldn't want to deprive anyone of a chance just for something that sits in my closet. Eventually, collectors will have to collect--and before too long, we'd love boxed versions of the new figures--but there's no need for it just yet. It's not like they won't be all over the place within a few weeks.

I hope this will be the same in the UK and that Amazon will get some pre-orders up soon!

Its cool we wont have to wait TOO much longer then. Sounds like we'll be able to get all the skylanders by the end of the "school year", and if it DOES start in March/April time thats perfect cuz its only like 2-3 months away. I can wait that long, specially because i still need wave 3 and to save up for the legendaries & VV online lol.

Cool. Hopefully I can get Camo and Sunburn at the same time then I'll have all of the Skylanders figures that I want to own. For now I'm still waiting for Cynder to be released here in the UK.

Exactly. Sealed ones to hang on my wall come last. It's impossible to get4 of the same thing at once, when it comes to the new waves.

Since I cannot edit the very first post, I figured I would put it in this thread for a reason. From the Skylanders Facebook notes page (FAQs really)

So the definition of spring is different just about everywhere pending on where you live. Astroligically (butchered that spelling) the spring solstice is march 21-22. But where I live, we have gotten snow in april and as late as may 5th.

OK, I don't want to be a downer here, but I would like to remind everyone that in the video game / media industry, June is still "Spring" with Summer not starting until June 20. Even though the FAQ was updated to just say "Spring", that doesn't mean anything changed on release dates. What it does do is give Activision te opportunity to release them "as available" versus in two bathes of March and June. Hopefully this will result in us seeing them earlier than planned but it is by far not a certainty.
